Ribalta vs. Ruddock? Like Botha vs. Holyfield, I doubt they can hurt each other that badly.

Jose Ribalta was never anything special in my opinion. 6'5" with an 80" reach and 215-220Lbs. at his best... came in at 212 Lbs. vs. Mike Tyson, LKOby10 in 1986. He was down 3 times vs. Tyson.

He drew with Cecil Coffee in 1984, lost a split-decision vs. Bonecrusher Smith in 1985 (he was down once), lost a majority-decision to Marvis Frazier in 1985, knocked out David Jaco in 5 rounds in 1986, knocked out Leon Spinks in 1 round in 1987, and lost a majority-decision to Tim Witherspoon in 1990.

After Witherspoon he went 7-12 (5) and was knocked out 7 more times. During this stretch he dropped Bruce Seldon prior to getting stopped in the 3rd round, he was stopped in 2 by Joe Hipp, in 6 by Larry Donald, in 2 by Vitali Klitschko, in 4 by Chris Byrd, in 1 by Razor Ruddock in 1999... his last pro fight.

38-17-1 (27) overall and stopped 9 times. He was past prime in 1990 for ****'s sake! He would get the **** beat out of him by Sam Peter.

Ribalta was a sparring partner for Mike Tyson around 1991. Tyson employed quite a few former opponents (like Boogieman) as sparring partners. It would have hurt like hell, but the money would have been good.

As a matter of historical accident, Tyson never faced his most famous regular sparring partner, Oliver McCall. The closest they came was in 1995, before McCall lost to Bruno.

Depends on when they fought. I think that, until about Holyfield II, Tyson would have probably won. He was doing well in a tough 11 round bout fight against a well-prepared and healthy Holyfield; I think he could go the distance and I doubt that McCall could pick up enough rounds.

Someone I know talked to him -- he's asking for around $50,000 to fight Wilder in an 8 and more to fight Fury.

    What a friggin' joke.
