They do not test you for PED's at work and if your brother is an Olympian thrower (shot, disc, javelin) he is on PED's.
How is that fat abomination never banned, he contributes nothing only engages in stupid ad hominem attacks!
Wtf. Drug testing. Whatever the drug. We (as in the participants of this thread) were talking about acceptance of random drug testing. No I don't get tested for pedS, but like I said in my post, I signed up for it, like the athletes did. Get on point fulla, because you're off on a tangent. In regards to calling my brother a drug cheat, and yes he was a javelin thrower, is pretty low. 18 years of drug testing, throughout competition and out of competition. Clean. So stfu on subjects you have no idea on.
That's not fair Kevin. I know who @NakiFan's brother is, he's a perfectly clean athlete and I reckon if all the others were as well, he'd have won quite a lot more than he did (which was already impressive). Please show that you have decency by apologizing here.
It might not be such a bad thing for baseball or tennis but combat sports is a whole different matter altogether. When a prime objective is to hit an opponent in the head as hard as possible, wanting to give athletes an artificial means to be able to cause far more damage than they normally would be capable of is ghoulish imo. Might as well just let guys load their gloves.
Tangents keep this place from getting stale and dying on the vine and no elite thrower is drug free including your brother.
It is not an insult to be on PED's and like I said to him; no elite thrower is drug free. 9th best Javelin thrower in the World claiming drug free while on doubt 1-8 were not, apparently number 8 got popped is unprecedented. Just looked up those results and the person in question was like 16 feet of the top guy, if he is that close drug free then he would be beating that guy by 16 feet if he used PED's. of course he is going to claim drug free they have Draconian laws down there governing AAS among other things like hate speech.
Our local roid expert (a 50 year old cry baby who thinks it'll help his bum pecker) getting called out on his bull****.
Instead of apologising you dig your heels in and claim everyone is on drugs? That is a big ****n insult to every athlete or sportsperson that competes at the highest level. Call yourself a fan? You are not a fan...if that was said to my face...lets just say I have 2 inches and 10kg on my brother in question. It wouldn't end well. I should have known better than bringing in a legit example of the implications of drugs in high level sports. The level of idiots on here is growing year on year.
I don't think PEDs which are currently undetectable make a 16 or 32 foot difference. As far as I see it, you have accused a athlete of being a cheat without any evidence at all, simply because you think the whole sport of javelin throwing is tainted. Even if you think most athletes are on something, surely it is still possible that one is not? The athlete in question has an impeccable record, comes across as a decent bloke; aren't you concerned about the possibility of making a false accusation? I dislike draconian hate speech laws as much as you do, but I fail to see the connection.
I don't want to interfere in your debate, so I will just react to this question: Hungarian swimmer Katinka HosszĂș set several world records lately, so American sport websites started to accuse her of taking PEDs even though she never tested positive. HosszĂș sued all of them and guess what, American court dismissed the defamation action saying it was just a "non-actionable opinion protected by the First Amendment" when they accused her of being a PED user without having any proof for that.
