It was hard to look at as Lopez as he said is the "Mexican Paul Williams". Just comes to fight everytime and seems to be a great fellow out of the ring. Painful to see but on the bright side he did get a good amount of money and he did gain a lot of support/exposure for that performance against rising star Canelo. Only fair he be given this fight since it was originally suppose to be Victor but Lopez killed that noise.

IB, I'm not a fan of his but I do respect him. Had no business by "logic"(Chavez pun) being in there his punches were like bullets to Superman(non-kryptonite of course). Still gotta give him props and hope he can have a long career as fights like these give more tear to one. Its part of boxing.

Yeah he's a real warrior ... he's not afraid going to war even if he's very much outsized and outgunned... Many people considered that war a mismatch, a farce fight in the first place... The result just confirmed it.

There's nothing wrong of using some intelligence in choosing a war to engaged. It's not that he's forced into this fight. He always has an option and he will not be criticized of ducking if he opted to just pass on this fight at this time.

Lopez is a warrior, it was a bad stoppage, they should have allowed him to continue and get put to sleep eventually like he intended to do.

You have never seen 'well managed' fighters turn down a payday because they were afraid of having a loss on their record? That is more common than not in this sport now days.

You are asking people for Lopez to become the warrioriest of them all. Embodying a warrior spirit is enough.

Well we wouldn't be talking about him embodying the warrior spirit if he passed would we :patsch It appears you're having a hard time understanding the difference between embodying a warrior's spirit and what would have been the safest move for his health.

He already showed he's a warrior in the Ortiz fight and other previous fights. Not accepting a fight with the much bigger Canelo would not make him less of a warrior. As I said he won't be criticized of ducking Canelo if he just passed on of this fight at this time. He's still a warrior...

Normally I wouldn't feel bad for someone in such a rough sport like boxing, but each time I look at lopez after he's down, the frustration and the sadness from going down shows in his face. A big fan of canelo but I found myself rooting for josesito to make it competetive. It looked at if canelo improved even more, it showed in his sparring, it showed in the fight. I've never been so pissed at gbp for making this match, I feel bad for him, and ill continue to support the guy because he's a true warrior willing to fight everyone.
