GSP already dominated Koscheck once. No reason to think this rematch will be any different. Thank god we have some new blood coming into the division with guys like Condit and Shields.
Anything is possible in MMA, Jimmie, but this is another gimme defense for GSP. I'm getting sick of them to be perfectly honest.
Gimmie I dont know about that. Koscheck is an accomplished wrestler he could very well bring his best wrestling next weekend, stuff a takedown, clip GSP and finish him. Ill never forget how GSP reacted to Serra hurting him he acted almost how Lesnar acts when hes hurt and thats not good. Koscheck is a dangerous puncher and very well could KTFO GSP.
You make some good points, Jimmie, but GSP DOMINATED Koscheck in their first fight. It wasn't even competitive.
Really ? I respect you alot so ill respectfully disagree man I mean no doubt GSP won and won cleary but I think it was somewhat competitive. Koscheck actually did get that one explosive takedown which is one of the only highlights agianst GSP the last few years or really his entire career.
Luckily we'll get to see the answer soon enough! I would actually love it if KOS upset GSP because it would throw the division open again. GSP has been dominating for too long and will never move up to challenge Anderson Silva so I'm ready for someone to beat him.
Me too because after Koscheck who can beat GSP ? Shields is basically a weight drained version of GSP with no striking ability I doubt he can take him, Fitch is out there but he was dominated for all 25 minutes and I dont see the improvement needed to be able to win a rematch, Love Condit but hes about 100 levels behind GSP as a wrestler. One guy who nobody ever talks of that I could see as a serious threat within the next year and a half or so is Jake Ellenberger.
True but, a take down isn't worth **** if you can't do anything with it and since Koscheck seems to working on his hands I don't him capitalizing on any takedowns. If koscheck wins its gonna be because of the standup.
JK trying to convince himself he will win. On the video lead up to the fight on the UFC site where he says "All I remember is taking him down whenever I wanted and beating him up" - Which is a stark contrast to the fight that before hand he was saying how GSP would be unable to take him down.
I would say Koscheck has no chance, but 3 out of the 5 titles have changed hands this year and the one champion who's retained got the **** kicked out of him for 5 rounds. I would never guarantee anything in MMA, not anymore anyway.
I don't even think it's a good match up. Kos is really ****ing lucky to be getting another shot. I hope GSP finishes him this time, but since the Serra fight GSP has gone a bit 'safety first' but as long as JK loses I don't give a ****.
