I'd put Taylor up there with both of them to be honest. I'd don't usually like hyping a fighter too soon but this guy is the real deal imo. Not sure who the etc etc is referring to. Only other guy I'd put up there is BJS maybe?
I’m hugely impressed with him. Southpaw, excellent footwork in the way he switches angles, varies his power and his shot selection, feints, really nice control of distance...he’s spiteful too. I think he’s still got a load of improvement in him but if he keeps facing world level guys he’ll keep getting better and fulfil his potential.
Very fair point mate but he needs to fight top-level operators before we get too ahead of ourselves, For instance, there is no way he could be ranked ahead for Carl Frampton at the moment. But in the future with a few more names and some titles to his name for sure, he has it in him to become the best.
Yeah he needs to be given the time to further develop. He is way ahead of where u would expect someone to be after so few fights.....and I think that speaks volumes of his talent and potential. It's far too soon to be talking of matching him with elite level fighters imo....let's give the lad a bit of time
This is what I love about him. He loves to fight. Like Beefy as well, what a sight it is when he takes a big shot and just does that grin back. Proper fighters not just boxers.
Totally agree. Love Beefy for that. Munguia threw the kitchen sink at him to get him out of there and he just took it and grinned. Likewise with Taylor, it’s brilliant to watch.
Taylor’s only been dishing it out though not taking it. He ain’t been tested yet...just beating people up.
Well see what a proper fighter he was s when he fights Prograis. Then we can talk about him being tough. Right now he’s just a bully.
To be fair he’s just beat up the lads who have been put in front of him. He’s not had it easy he’s just been too good. That mean streak is a valuable attribute in boxing. Compare it to someone who lacks that mean streak like Joseph Parker, it arguably cost him his last fight as he allowed Whyte to bully and foul him.
Don't think it's realistic to call anyone but AJ Britain's best at the moment. I certainly believe Josh Taylor will soon be Britain's best, but he has still got to get there
