I said Davies was poor against Scarpa but could that have been a problem for Davies, Scarpa was negative and didn't really open up?

Taylor would open up and fire, which would at the very least give Davies target and Davies can punch.

Scarpa stopped John Wayne Hibbert who I love watching, all of a sudden Scarpa is a godsend no he wasn't, he unfortunatly caught JWH at the right time as the Gethins fight proved, after all Martin is really a lightweight
Scarpa was very poor against Davis and many of the LWW in UK would do a mum we on him

I've watched OD since his first fight but Taylor looks by far the more complete fighter

With OD's natural power he could win via a KO but if the fight goes the distance then Taylor wins convincingly

It won't go the distance. Davis will be lucky to make it past 6 rounds.

Hmmmm... OD seems to have a solid chin but again it's relatively untested, Scarpa caught him with a couple of shots which he took well (YES Scarpa did actually throw a punch.. Crazy... I know)

Would be a fight to look forward to though!!! The world opens up to the winner

josh taylor schools ohara davies, he is the best scottish fighter by a mile at the minute and imo he will headline big shows for world titles in scotland. actually i believe that josh beats all domestic based super lightweights including ricky burns and I'm saying that as a big ricky fan:thumbsup:

i totally agree, i would have josh fighting for the british title asap, defend it for keeps within 12 months and then just let him loose on the world scene.

That path seems pretty accurate, think the nurse fight would be a good test as hes quite a tricky operator. What a potential introduction to world level though with a all Scottish title fight at the Hydro

Interesting that Davies is happy to entertain the idea of Derry Matthews on Twitter but not Taylor

The domestic SLW scene is really interesting, Burns, Taylor, Nurse, Catterall, Taylor & Davies, don't have much hope for them all fighting each other though

Davies is a bum, the people who have been hyping him online for years need to hang their heads in shame or stop trolling. It was clear in the Scarpa fight that he is very limited and will not go very far in the sport.

Josh Taylor and Robbie Davies Jr are far far better prospects

Ohara Davies v Tyrone Nurse was sent to purse bids yesterday

Robbie Davies Jr brutal, to be avoided
