Lol at the people saying Fury is ducking Usyk you couldn't make it up. Eddie will have been praying AJ would get payed £15 million to not fight and Fury then deals with Usyk so AJ doesn't get knocked out and ends the gravy train..... AJ chose to activate the rematch clause not Fury or Eddie but AJ..... now he has changed trainer and wants to try things out with him rather than jumping in with Usyk in a fight he knows he most likey loses. Another loss for AJ is very damaging but he has made his bed so now he needs to fight or be left out in the cold like Whyte has been for years.
Fury has dealt with his business with Wilder and now moves on to his mandatory with Whyte he is not ducking Usyk as he never had a contract to fight Usyk and hasn't even called for it as he knew AJ was locked in a contract.....
Lets stop with all the nonsense and let Usyk beat AJ and Fury KO Whyte then Fury and Usyk can fight in the Autumn for all the marbles with no step aside having to be paid.
None of these guys are scared of each other they are fighters and will fight anyone its all the BS politics that are stopping the fights getting made as usual. My bet is that its Matchroom that dont want AJ to fight Usyk as they know its highly likely he loses and thats their meal ticket in the sport gone and thats why they are now pushing the narrative that its really Fury that is ducking Usyk even though its them that are locked in contract with him lol you couldn't make it up.
Fury wants a warm up before Usyk and Whyte is that warm up and a perfect one and an easy win IMO Whyte hasn't fought for a year and will be more under cooked than Fury he is also going to get rid of the mandatory and receive an 80% split in a big UK money fight its a no brainer for Fury good business. I personally think Fury has been up to his usual funny **** to amuse himself and play Eddie like a fiddle. I suspect Fury Warren and Bob are having a rite old laugh at Eddie at the moment i just hope they have a fat wallet of cash to win a purse bid or Eddie and DAZN will have Fury fighting on their platform.

    Good piece by Coppinger:

    https://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_...ceed-step-aside-deal-anthony-joshua-collapses

There was an agreement in principle for both Whyte and Anthony Joshua to step aside and forego planned bouts with Fury and Oleksandr Usyk, respectively, in exchange for millions of dollars, but the deal fell apart after parties attempted to renegotiate at the 11th hour, sources told ESPN on Thursday.

The proposed deal would have paved the way for Fury to fight Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight championship in June in Saudi Arabia, sources said. It's believed the $155 million site fee the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia offered last year for a fight between Fury and Joshua was in play. Money from that package would have gone to both Whyte and Joshua.

I think he just had 2nd thoughts of giving the 2 southern dosser bums generational wealth level paydays off the back of his fight.

Now matchroom fc is rattled at getting boss'd on.

It's absolutely baffling how Matchroom FC can go from "he's ducking Whyte!" to "He's ducking Usyk!" in a matter of days!

    "Eddie said... .."

I, for one, will be glad if Whyte has to take his beating for his ridiculous inflated pay cheque, instead of getting step aside money. That would be a travesty, of course. It's bad enough that he'll be paid millions anyway, but at least get in the ring.

Likewise AJ, who is, of course, at least due respect for being a bona fide box office magnet, still would have been obscene for him to get 15 million or more to do nothing.

Yeah I'm confused too. First they were claiming that he's ducking Whyte and wanted no part of him, but now that the fight will most likely be next, they're now shifting the goalposts and saying that he's ducking Usyk when they should be happy that Whyte will get his well deserved opportunity that he's been waiting for that they love to go on and on about.

Its as if they were hoping that Whyte would get step aside money so they could continue their cute little Dillian Whyte is so hard done by parade but are instead upset that he's getting a title shot lol.

Not part of this deal he wasn't. Fury could have fought Usuyk next and declined.

Whyte is now the tune up lol.

No Whyte is his mandatory and declining the Usuyk fight means he has no choice other than to fight Whyte.

I'd prefer to see whyte fury anyway. First real test for fury since klitschko.

Interested to see if AJ can bring anything different against usyk.

Hope those are the fights that go ahead next.

Lol please tell me you dont actually rate Whyte higher than Wilder?
Whyte is terrible and always has been.
Wilder ices Whyte in 3 rounds.
