Let Pav fight RubioII and Mora. His ***** is still hurting from the ass-whippin BHop gave him.:good

As far as Joshua Clottey, I give him credit for not backing down on a fight with anyone, including PW. And for the Cotto-***gots to call him overrated is ridiculous, especially the way Cotto gets marble-mouthed whenever anyone asks him about PW.

Clottey is a big welterweight and is gonna give Cotto a rough night.

Cotto should win but Clottey is a real fight.

Cotto, who isn't a big welter, has fought Margo and Clottey who are some big ass welterweights.

Yeah, I agree one Clottey not backing down from any fights. I mean, he has pretty good handspeed, tight defense, toughness, a good chin, and a good left, like you said. I just feel stylewise, Cottos fundamentals will win him this fight... If Clottey can impose his strength on Cotto though (ala Mosley when he held) he can win it.

Maybe you ought to look at their weights on fight nights...

I think you will be surprised.

Cotto is a big welter, which is why I can't understand how people think it's OK for him to fight Pac, but not OK for Floyd who is a much much smaller Welter.

i don't think anyone's rating him THAT highly. we'll see how well he handles cotto and rate him from there. cotto's gonna be a lot for him to handle, thats for sure.

He is definitely one of the "bulk-uppers" unlike Zab and PBF. Which is why I can't understand the double standards fans have when it comes to him...

By the way, he is virtually the same size as Clottey, just not nearly as strong and tough.

I dont get how you guys can just flip the switch like that, if this were Clottey vs Margarito 2 you would be saying Clottey is going to whip Margaritos ass. The reason this thread is even posted is because obviously the author is un certain about his man.

He knows that Clottey was able to compete with Margarito and made Margarito work to defend that title, as to where Cotto quit against Margarito, (but I bet you argue plaster in the Cotto fight, okay argue that I will say Clottey had to go through the same adversity in his fight with Margarito then)

Bottom line, Clottey is a much bigger man he will come into the ring at about 170 for the fight, Cotto is in a fight no doubt, and I dont think anybody can say Cotto wins this fight with confidence its a pick em fight, and I am leaning towards Clottey.

    :good

Damn! Couldn't have said it better myself.

The whole plaster thing is unproven, and even so, is ****ing ridiculous when you consider these two fighters. Cotto fans seem to think Cotto is the only guy he could have potentially plastered-up against.

Clottey took a compubox record number of punches against Margo, and wasn't dazed. Williams was stung a couple of times but came back strong in the 12th. Cotto? We all know the results.

    Clottey is underrated if anything.

Dont get me wrong I am not hating on Cotto, I just think his fans really need and want this win they do know the risk but rather than to admit Clottey is a threat, rather than to admit that Cotto could lose here, they take it to another level.

They go out of their way to discredit the man and what he is really capable of, look Clottey has a great defense, good pop in his shots, and quick quick hand speed.
Cotto has a full plate for him to deal with, and I just dont think Miguel wins this fight, I think the size and the speed for being such a big welter will cause Cotto alot of problems in the fight.

I see him fading again in the last third of the fight and probably being stopped again.

Yea right we'll see come fight night.Props to Cotto for taking this fight Clottey is clearly one of the top welters and in my opinion easily over Berto. While Clotteys record may not be stacked with big names and hall of famers neither is Cottos. But I bet you this Clottey competes competitively with any top welter and it should be looked at as even money going into this fight.Who tires first maybe the answer.

    nightmare fight for cotto.
If Clottey can take Cottos best shots then we could see Clottey walking him down ala Margarito and getting to him unless Cotto has learned how to turn his man (which he should have). But Clottey will be massive on fight night and yeah Cotto could out speed him to a UD but for a fighter that lost heavily to the last top opponent he faced and taking on a fighter that wont get a massive amount of praise unless he decapitates him with a style and strength that could cause simelar issues to the Margarito fight ie gassing - its poor matchmaking bit like Lacy getting whipped by Calzaghe what do they do put him in with another akward southpaw
