Lol this is the first time Ruiz fought a so called top fighter. He was hurt badly a slow over hype job. So now because he got hit a few times it means he has a amazing chin? Having a amazing chin takes being hit by numerous big time punches in your career.
Ortiz hasn't even fought anyone as good as Parker. This myth he is the bogeyman of the division was just a way of pumping up Wilders resume. You are right though, the Wilder/Joshua fight should have happened. Now it will never happen. The most exciting fight on the radar now is Fury/Wilder but we all know Fury will dance around for 12 rounds and lose points.
Same outcome in the rematch. Watch the 6th and 7th round and Ruiz was toying around with Joshua, measuring him up and just waiting to finish him off. Ruiz knows his predictable robotic rhythm. He proved he was the superior counter puncher and actually backed Joshua up the whole night as if he was the 6'6 giant in there. And that was all down to being smarter, better footwork and having confidence in his own defense and chin. All things Joshua lacks because he doesn't possess a true fighter's heart. AJ went to the states and got chewed up and spat out because it is the real true Lion's Den.
A lot of people obviously knows nothing about boxing. All the thing was against Joshua. Change of the opponent in the last moment and totally different opponent at the end. He totally overlooked Ruiz. I think Wilder KO of Breazeale hurt him bad too, cause he was trying to make himself looking good and it was in huge shock after the KD he recieve. They even talk about that and Joshua rushed it and was too open and Andy Ruiz counter him with huge left hook in the ear zone and Anthony feet was gone from that moment till the end of the match. Everything that happen later is because of that shot. Joshua couldn`t recover from that shot. He suffer concussion, how exactly you want him to look in the next rounds ? In the rematch Joshua will train hard and will take fight seriously. He will prepare exactly for this opponent. What he needs? He needs to respect Ruiz speed and not get in a exchange in close with shorter guy. If he lets his hand go he need to do it from distance. Just hit and run, whether it`s left and right or some combo, just put 2-3 shots and move. He needs to be aware of that left hook now and expect to be counter in every shot he threw. Also he knew now that it will take more than a right hand to KO Ruiz.
Nah, Wilder haters said he would never face Ortiz or Fury. He's faced them both and has yet to be given any credit for doing so. I find it disingenuous to critisize a man for not fighting someone and when he does, refuse to acknowledge the fact. Pathetic!
It's impossible to say at this stage whether Ruiz is genuinely that good or just happened to capitalise on a hurt or not at 100% Joshua. I suspect the latter at this moment due to the weird, flat performance that Joshua gave and how quickly he gassed. Regardless, the experience Joshua suffered in the ring is going to be a hard one to shake off and could prove decisive in the rematch. Time will tell.
All the butt hurt AJ fans must be humiliated knowing their hero was well and truly exposed, this was supposed to be a showcase of his skills on US soil, instead he was exposed as the protected bum he has always been.
Have you seen Ruiz against Parker? Ruiz has elite counter punching skills, hand speed, chin, and composure under pressure. Ruiz knew he had the style for Joshua, that’s why he wanted the fight so badly. He said that Joshua was going to be shocked when he got in the ring with him. I don’t think Joshua knew who Ruiz was, he just relies on his trainers to watch his opponents and tell him what to do. Then when he sees that fat guy at the weigh in... the baby faced friendly guy who saved the day by stepping in last minute. That’s why he let Ruiz hold his belts, he thought the guy was nothing. He’s not going to think that next time but I think Ruiz still prevails, he had Joshua beaten everywhere.
Who are you a fan of in the heavyweight division? Because Joshua had the better record than anybody else who is mentioned. Did Molina, Ortiz and Fury expose Wilder? It’s the heavyweight division, anything could happen.
Yes he would know fury beat wilder because he's blind as a bat and wouldn't know anything about boxing like most observers who thought he won. You win championship fights after being violently put your back twice and losing 3 other rounds.
Yes, I've seen quite a lot of Andy Ruiz. I knew he was a good fighter going into the fight. But I believe he lost against Parker (narrowly) and Parker lost (less narrowly) to Joshua, so I certainly didn't expect the result that unfolded. That's why I'm wondering if Ruiz genuinely improved since that time, or if he just had Joshua's number. Or indeed if Joshua was having a really bad night. Those questions will be answered in a rematch anyway.
