It would be worth taking a nibble on Parker to win via UD. Those odds are predictable because the casuals in the UK think that AJ is invincible, and bet on him heavily, causing the odds to be very narrow on AJ. I dont see either man getting a KO.
Parker isn't all that good, he's a champion as the division is weak, let's not get ahead of ourselves. I'd love Parker to win but if AJ is as good as advertised he should have little trouble in beating Parker.
surely if it's the 'british casuals' setting up this scandalous smokescreen then you'll be having a bit more than 'a nibble' on parker?
The division is not that weak. It's not the strongest it's ever been but I reckon a lot of the top ten would fare very well against a lot of the typical top ten of recent history. I don't know what people are using as gauges for how strong or weak things are... It feels like as long as I've been watching boxing people have been saying that kind of thing and then forgetting about it later and treating the CURRENT division as weak. We have some competitive fights going on lately - the best available fighting the best available for a change. Enjoy it
There will be competitive fights coming up. As for Parker I'll be honest I don't rate him, he's solid but nothing that jumps out at me. I thought he was poor against Ruiz and Fury, although I have a feeling the way Fury fights he'd make most fighters look bad. I think he is the weakest of all the champions.
The heavyweight division has always fluctuated, but the current crop imo have been in some instances rushed into winning a title due to the lack of depth in the division. I hope Parker wins, he seems like a genuine guy as opposed to Joshua who is as fake as they come in terms of personality. I just think Parker is very beatable.
What would Joshua do with Ruiz and Hughie fury, I know styles make fights but less so in that division, am not a Aj fan but respect his work and power. I think he will k.o Parker late as long as he comes in lighter than he has done in his last few fights.
Parker is a livelier dog than his odds are suggesting but I've gotta give the nod to Joshua. Parker's fights against Takam and Ruiz revealed his power is a little overrated at the upper echelons of the division and also showed us he is still quite easy to hit. Losing 4-6 rounds apiece to guys significantly shorter than him doesn't bode well for Parker when Joshua himself has considerably more reach and power than the Kiwi. Joshua UD or British TKO.
Who the hell do you rate? You don't rate Parker and no Whyte either,but............. This guy has Bellew and Kownacki in his top 10 ? I guess you're rating guys who Joshua hasn't fought and the ones he's fighting get no rating? yea no agenda there !
Parker's got the ability to upset Joshua, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's in with a good chance to win. Stylistically and physically everything favours Joshua; it's just that if he has an off day, Parker is the type of guy that could capitalise on it. Joshua's still a bit raw, still takes silly chances. No one's truly made him pay for it before, but if Parker manages to catch him he's got both the ability and the mentality to go for the KO. That's down to how well Joshua prepares though, and how safe he wants to play it to ensure the win. If he tries to cater to the crowd and give them a tear up then Parker's chances increase dramatically. It's not a fight I'd want to bet on though. There's too much money riding on Joshua not to expect some shenanigans if he finds himself in trouble, and the chances of that are relatively slim to begin with.
33/1 Parker by stoppage. If the British glass is going to shatter that night and I didn't take on those odds, I'd regret my whole life.
I might put a small bet on Parker by stoppage purely out of support for Parker. I don't expect to get my money back though.
I still think AJ via UD is the most likely outcome. Parker via UD is the second most likely outcome, so given the odds its worth a "nibble".
LOL Look at you, you little fairy......your obsession with Whyte is baffling. I like Parker....but he's flawed, no doubt if Joshua wins you will claim he's beaten an ATG...smh. Oh yeah who has Izu beaten again?
