People saying he should fight McDermott and not Skelton. Price fought both ko'd McDermott in one and Skelton in 2, not sure what's wrong with the choice as there is no great rush to step him up if he keeps fighting every couple of months.
So Joshua is having Price's sloppy seconds? Seems like his management team know he's a KO waiting to happen.
He needs to fight a paolo vidoz type, durable but not much of a threat, at least he will get some rounds in. How about Joshua vs sosnowski?
Joshua is in a similar position to Price where his physical advantages make it very difficult for him to practice his boxing and the step up is big. I have no problem with Skelton for a 7th fight at 24 year old. The important thing is top class sparring IMO, get good sparring and you will learn more than any opponent prior to reaching the top 25 at least. Anyone got an idea of who Joshua spars? I know Fury camp have said they would be open to some sparring.

Even Vinny Maddalone would be suitable. He's still quite durable. I think Alex Leapai would be the best choice for sometime this year though, it would send a message. If Joshua has any potential he should get through Leapai, even if it's tough, and it would show Wladimir up. Of course they won't put him in with those guys, they will line up another 10 or more stiffs. I would not be at all surprised if Audley is coaxed out of retirement to get blasted out in a round by this Joshua kid.
That's not a bad shout from a marketing perspective- if he bangs him out early then Joshua is "doing better" than Wlad. A few more fights (Hughes, Little, ***ton) before the British title at the end of the year I say. Sprott looked pretty terrible in the Super 8 tournament so he might not be in the mix for the British title anytime soon.
