Why on earth are you bringing up Hearn? He’s got absolutely nothing to do with this thread.. What is it with the freaks on here who bring the Warren/Matchroom allegiances into every thread here?

Merkel looks like a bit of a plodder to me. Heavy hands but a bit of a pudding. She will gas in the second half of the fight. I reckon May is light on her feet though with decent footwork getting her in and out and keeping Merkel at a distance, she will twinkle around like SRL. Zero pop in her shots though.

I can’t quite get a grip of your post here, what’s wrong with me saying he deserves credit for actually fighting in another country other than the U.K.? He wasn’t willing to travel to the US to fight Wilder a few months back so fair play to him if he actually does this time.

It's not really that he doesn't deserve credit. Just that him going to America won't be him saying 'right - I need to prove myself in another country.' It'll be a financial decision based on making more money. If the money was in the UK he'd stay here.

So what you’re really saying is, listen Twentyman, my boy AJ doesn’t need go to America to prove how good he is, he’s beyond that, he’s going purely to make even more money?

My response to that would be ‘I know’...but he still deserves credit for going to another country to defend his belts.

In his IFL TV interview, he spoke about the AJ/Miller fight.

"If Wilder wont fight AJ and we don't do the Fury fight and we can't get the winner of this then there is a good chance it could be Miller"

What on earth does "We can't get the winner of this mean" No chance in hell, Whyte or Chisora would be turning it down.

Well, the last time he got a great offer to go to America, he backtracked and said "it's not about the money" ....

If it’s not AJ vs Wilder then surely Whyte deserves his rematch in April?

Big Baby Miller has a horrendous resume and needs to beat another contender prior to being in line.

    Khan vs Brook never happens...

I'm not surprised if this happens.
I saw this coming from Hearn interviews and things MIller's been saying. It's a smart move.

Honestly, though Joshua, Hearn and the entire Matchroom FC cult will not admit it, it's obvious that they feel an urgent need right now to compete with what Tyson Fury has started to do over in the USA.

Miller is a classic 'set up' too.
He's a big slow lump who's been built up into a genuine threat, which he really isn't.

I agree with all that except I don’t agree that Miller is not a threat. As someone mentioned previously, if you dont get rid of Miller early it will be a nightmare fighting him. That weight is frightening. I don’t think anyone in the division will look at Miller and think of him as an easy night’s work. If you don’t stop him early that’s an exhausting night for anyone except maybe Tyson Fury because boxing and moving is his forte.

I agree why do Chisora and Whyte deserve 7 figure pay days? Because Hearn thinks they do. Well I don’t. What have either of them done to warrant those sort of figures? Hearn says the fight won’t happen then. Well so what? I’m not that desperate to watch it.
