Joshua beats Parker right now in a close fight based on my opinion of the two fighters last outings.

Parker and Takam was a good showing from both fighters. However Parker was getting tagged quite a bit but was never really wobbled or overwhelmed by Takam but the bottom line, he seems easy to hit.

Martin stepped UP to fight Joshua despite Joshua being the challenger. I actually betted on a 4th round knockout but Joshua circled right and popped a beautiful right straight down the pipe. You don't get much from 2 rounds but the way Joshua vanquished Martin was good boxing.

I just see a good close fight from these two. Like I said, RIGHT NOW AJ gets the nod but maybe as the year progresses, Parker gets those defensive flaws a bit more tidy. It will live up to its billing.

As much as I am cheering Parker I tend to agree but we have new a year for the boys to refine their art, I'm sure by the time it happens it could be a real barn burner.

I watched Parker Takam again and it was a pretty entertaining fight. I think a lot of people are selling both guys short, was plenty of action in that one

    Agreed, Lith.

I just rewatched the fight as well and saw a lot to like in Parker's victory.

    Yes - defense needs work

First of all, I wouldn't like to be misunderstood; consider Parker as a great talent who belongs in the top 10 HW now. But, his defence is questionable, he is often half-open and easy to hit. It is very dangerous against opponents with excellent punching power and great reach (Joshua, Wilder, Ortiz). For Parker, the only way to defeat that kind of fighters is to be very moveable all 12 rounds, and it is extremely hard task for any HW.

I'm not sold on Joshua's chin yet. Let face it Joshua really has not been fully tested yet. But if Joshua can take a punch it is hard to see him losing right now. I'm not sure how Fury could do against him. The Fury that fought Wlad may have a chance. I think Joshua would ko WIlder early. I'm sorry but I just don't think WIlder can take a punch.

Criticism of Parker's defense is certainly valid. But at least they can work on it.

His heart, his chin, his speed and even his power came through that test pretty well.

Man heavyweight boxing is get interesting again.I would love to see this fight. Joshua looks to be the real deal but not fully tested yet. The IBF belt he has was stolen from Fury.

At least Parker is working his way to title shots following the "normal" process and by the time he gets to one it's going to be nothing to do with it being stolen. I'm guessing when WBO/WBC/IBF all update their rankings he will be at the pointy end of all of their top 15s, or should I say - we know he will be #1 contender in two of them already.
