Those two are - along with AJ - the best of this era. And they're fighting each other. So that seems a ridiculous statement.
Wilder has the hype of being along with AJ the best in area but he doesnt have resume to match. Whyte, Parker and Povetkin all have stronger resumes than Wilder. Whilst Fury hasnt beaten a top 40 fighter in over 4 years.
Ir you could say: Wlad - an ATG that came in lightest in the AJ than he has done in 5 years. Parker - underfeated WBO champion that has a win over the now former unified champion. Whyte - went on to have best win streak in the divison in terms of quality of opponents. Ruiz - A now former unified champion that currently has a better carreer win than anyone in the divison. Povetkin - former WC and Olympic gold medalist with a deep resume who at the time he fought AJ had only lost 1 fight against a prime Wlad. Recent lly proved how good he still is by beating Hammer more convincingly than Ortiz, Beating Hughie amd holding his own against Hunter.
I've been very critical of AJ lately but when all is said and done he has achieved a hell of a lot to say he hasn't been boxing all that long. I think he is the only one being sincere out of himself, Fury and Wilder when they say they want to face each other. All 3 can beat each other on any given night, these bouts must take place for the sake of boxing.
2019 shot old retired David d haye is the lightest he’s ever been. If AJ drags him out of retirement and goes life and death with him, Mitch thinks it’s a career best victory. #mitchroomlogic
It's a mandatory ,and Pulev is top ten.Wilder and Fury are committed to a rematch. Who should he fight in your opinion? Whyte Breazeale Parker Povetkin He's beat them . If he fought Kowanacki you'd say he was untested,Ortiz too old,Miller,[ who he signed to fight before ] too inactive.Usyk untested. In 24 fights AJ has beaten 5 of the current top fifteen , who else has a resume that deep? I'm not big on AJ but he can't win with you no matter what he does , or who he fights!
How does this sincerity test work? Fury and Wilder have faced each other and are doing so again in a couple of months. Joshua hasn't faced either of them and I hope I'm proved wrong but I don't think he ever will.
joshuas team will duck wilder until his punch power is all gone. They might have a go at fury now his legs are shot though?
IMO they fought each other because both thought the other was an easier option than facing AJ. The winner of the rematch must face AJ though to keep the spark alive in the division.
I don't rate Pulev ,but he is a top ten and he is a mandatory so should he fight him or give up his belt? You've consistently knocked him and his performance against Ruiz. I'm not big on AJ, I just dislike constant knockers who when asked to provide alternative opponents don't provide them!
I'm saying he is top ten ranked and a mandatory so AJ fights him or gets stripped of a belt. How good he is is rather beside the point! Box Rec has the following 1Joshua 2.Wilder 3.Usyk 4.Fury 5.Ruiz 6.Whyte 7.Povetkin 8. Pulev 9.Ortiz 10.Chisora 11.Kowanacki 12.Hunter 13.Parker 14.Hrgovic 15.Breazeale 2&3 are tied up 5,6,&7 he's already beaten. That leaves no 2 Usyk untested ,but probably his most dangerous challenger out of whom is available, the problem is ,he's beaten nobody so it won't do big numbers, he needs building up first. Pulev credible, but on paper a relatively easy fight. Ortiz ,it wouldn't sell. Chisora ditto. Kowanacki ? It could do respectable numbers in the US at the Barclay Center. In the Uk, it wouldn't mean anything. Hunter who beat Povetkin, imo could conceivably sneak a decision, but is small, lacks power ,and profile,no bonanza pay day there.
Does Parker have a better resume? Povetkin hasn't beaten anyone good for years. Whyte's is probably a bit better, but then depends how you rate Ortiz. I think icing Ortiz is more impressive than scraping by Parker personally. You're quite right on Fury, but a draw with Wilder is impressive. And let's remember, none of them have taken L's against a guy who wasn't in anyone's top 10 at the time...
