Some peoples expectations of Joshua are unrealistic. They either have fallen for the hype, have never seen Takam fight or DKSAB. Joshua went life and death with Wlad, he isn't head a shoulders above everyone else like the narrative suggests. He's the top guy no doubt but the way some talk about potential match ups, he KO's everyone without too much difficulty. Wilder quick KO, Parker KO, Haye KO, blah, blah, blah. So it's not surprising some felt Joshua under performed. He didn't under perform, he fought as well as I expected, just because Joshua didn't blow Takam out as you expected doesn't mean it was a bad performance. There error was in your assessment of the fight not in anything Joshua did. Then of course you have the haters lol, grasping at straws. Telling us before hand it was a terrible match up, Takam was a bum and the fight was a disgraceful mismatch lol.
Takam deserved to lose a decision, he showed up to fight but Sky has to protect AJ's KO ratio, he's very marketable. Obviously Joshua was on the way to a lopsided decision but stoppages like this tarnish the integrity of the sport.
Takam was past his best Takam took the fight on short notice Joshua could not stop him The stoppage was too early Again Joshua fought dirty hitting after the bell And they gave Joshua a break to rest with welcome loose tape. So in his last two for guys Joshua beat a 41 year old and a non top ten guy, fouled, and looked suspect. He might be the best around today, but what happens when he fights a top ten guy in his prime?
Wlad beat the crap out of Puritty and gassed in the 12th. They could have stopped that fight earlier, too. Wouldn't have been fair to Ross, and it wasn't fair to Takam either.
Far from exposed. It's just on here there is never any middle grounds. It's either someone is the best ever or they were completely exposed.
I agree. Takham did well and proved he has a lot of heart. But he barely won a round and never endangered AJ. If anything AJ endangered himself due to the lack of stamina. The few punches Takham landed didn't bother AJ.
totally agree with you //////// look at lennox lewis v phil jackson / lewis looked flat / at least aj tried taking takams head off with sum viscious uppercuts
AJ is still green So did AJ He won every round. The ref didn't let us find out if AJ could stop him. not AJ's fault Takam's best shot was a headbutt Takam benefited from the breaks as he was losing almost every round and has gassed in previous fights. He knocked out Klitschko, got fouled against Takam and still barely dropped a round. Dillian Whyte is a top 10 guy (all 4 orgs) in his prime. And AJ is still green.

Joshua was exposed in the sense that he is not a world beater. His best three opponents. Whyte: Was not even ranked in the top ten when they fought. He shook Joshua up to the point where he fouled. Wlad: Age 41, out of the ring for 1.5 years. He floored Joshua and almost upset him. Joshua spat out his mouthpiece when under unsteady legs, and the ref gave him a much-needed break. This is his best win, by far. Takam: Unranked and took the fight on short notice. Takam did not hit hard enough but would have lasted the distance under most refs. Joshua fouled again. And he got time off with loose tape. SUMMARY: Joshua might be the best in the world, but he has a documented trend of fouling and has not beaten anyone in their prime that is decent. Let's hold off on calling him to beat Lewis, Tyson, Holyfield, and others, please.
