I went with Joshua by KO. I know its a little early yet, and Deontay is a terrific athlete who has made a good career for himself. But honestly, Joshua already looks to be the far more talented and skilled of the two. Artur Szpilka exposed some things about Wilder that a few of the better heavyweights might take advantage of, and I think Anthony is one of them.

I think its 50/50, but I voted for Wilder just because the poll is way too imbalanced right now. People really overreact to single fights, both pro and con. Most people who think the fight was meaningful at all seem to be saying he's now the dominant force in the division, while all the people who are saying it wasn't meaningful are saying he's not that good.

The truth is somewhere in the middle. The fight was meaningful, but people are getting way ahead of themselves. Martin is around the level of Scott, who Wilder blasted out in a round. While Joshua has been brought along much quicker than Wilder, Wilder has been around a lot longer, and the fact therefore remains he has a much better and more extensive resume than Joshua at this stage. Joshua's really about where Wilder was heading into the Stiverne fight, I'd say just slightly beyond it. Stiverne would be a good test of where Joshua really is. Regardless, let's see how AJ does against some other top competitors before we start saying its a foregone conclusion like people seem to be saying.

If he struggles in his next fight, and Wilder blows out Povetkin, people are going to overreact in the other direction, and suddenly Joshua would be a bum and a cherry pick for Wilder. That would be no more true that this. The fact is they have both proven they are high level and we'll need a fight to say for sure, both have strengths and weaknesses vis a vis the other.

Wilder's victory over Bermane eclipses all Joshua has done, including the robbery of Olympic Gold.

If Joshua can defeat a contender, even Arreola would do, then let's talk about him V Wilder. Otherwise resume wise Wilder KO's Joshua.

Joshua certainly has the potential but we have yet to see it illustrated as yet. Put him in with someone who can punch. Dillian had raw talent although completely out of shape yet look what he did. KO 2 was nearly a reality. Imagine what Wilder would do. Or even Bermane...

At this moment, I think Anthony Joshua is the biggest talent in the division and I'd favor him.

But I think Wilder would be a live dog. The longer Wilder has the title, the better he's gotten. He's also been at this pro game longer and has survived some rough outings.

On the other hand, things have come pretty easy for Joshua. You never know how those guys will respond when the going gets tough. Or you never know how he'll react, now that he has a title, when he has to fight less often and the sport becomes more of a slog. Sometimes holding on to the title is more difficult than winning it.

But, going in, I'd favor Joshua at this moment. But that could change.

AJ for me....but if either lands a big right hand its night night.

AJ = more polished technhique. To Wilders raw windmilling and sometimes seems sloppy and amateurish.

The one and only real impressive win on Wilders record for me was Stiverne - as we saw him go the distance and give Stiverne a boxing lesson. He did look good in that fight...but before then he was fighting cans. Easy to look impressive vs bums! And since Stiverne Haymon has continued to carefully cherry pick for his defences....Povetkin is his 1st real test since winning the belt. Beat him and really we all have to say Deontay is for real. He has a massive size/reach advantage here so lets see him give Povetkin a boxing lesson...or otherwise he goes to sleep. Molina and Duhaupas both seemed to be a lot of trouble for Wilder and they're not exactly top level opposition.

Joshua so far has 2 names of any note - again not the best names but decent opponents in Martin and Whyte. The rest of his record is 13 cans of the likes that Wilder has fought to pad his record also....

    Yep.

Parker is very hittable, but durable, also has great power and hand speed. Would love to see this fight.

Lets hope Deontay Wilder doesn't get upset by a motivated Povetkin, because the fight vs Joshua is one of those once in a decade type of fights, if Wilder gets upset by Povetkin then we don't deserve the super fight :verysad

Joshua KO no doubt about it. Wilders a massive puncher and alot of fun for the division but at the level he has now approached i think his bombsquad will be a bit of a duddsquad.

Who also happens to be one of Wilder's best wins (or rather names on the CV given how it went down), and the knockout was dubious.
