I never questioned Joshuas heart. Heart can have a broader definition to other boxers/boxing coaches/trainers than just getting up when you get knocked out, for some it also applies to ones training as well. However we're talking about what we see in the ring so I'll cut to the chase.

In regards to a showing of chin and heart (now that you brought up heart). First and foremost, if ones chin is his strength and his strong chin never allows him to fall, then he wouldn't have to show heart to get up off the floor and continue to win.
Wikipedia (not the best source) defines chin (boxing) as "In combat sports such as boxing, kickboxing and mixed martial arts, a fighter's chin is a figurative term that refers to an ability to tolerate physical trauma to the chin or jaw without being knocked unconscious." - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chin_(combat_sports)

Theres video footage that captures Joshua suspect chin which can be found on youtube. Theres more than one and 2 rumours (that I know of) where Joshua has been knocked out in sparring.

Look having a glass jaw isn't the end of the world. As I discussed with another poster, it makes Joshua more interesting to watch, its like watching Rocky Balboa. Lennox Lewis had a glass jaw and he was great. Not acknowledging or recognising your weaknesses is the worst thing in professional sports. Joshua can still have an undefeated career with a weak chin and I guess you would then have to respect his defence. Its not all bad.

Round 5 demonstrated all his weaknesses, came out all guns blazing and dropped WK, albeit a Peter style knock down. But within seconds he was blowing out his ass afer eating a few shots and ended up being saved by the bell. His biggest problem for me is how reacts when clipped, slows right up and can be swarmed by punches. A fresher WK would have stopped him for sure. Is not fluid enough and has a suspect chin.

Did you just claim Aj has anywhere remotely CLOSE to a glass chin ???? WTF,
Dude took wlads BEST AND CLEANEST full on power shots. Hell, he walked into multiple devastating left hooks. He got hurt and sent down hard, that proves it's a FACT he damn good chin.

Those are shots Wlad had been kptfo, stop the trolling when having a normal debate. That's as bad as me claiming Aj is too short and actually trying (and thinking I could) make gullible morons believe it

You missed the 2 left hooks he walked in to. That's what hurt him bad but he hid it obviously great. If you get chin checked and hurt you instantly lose your strength. He was then beaten around the ring for over a minute. How he stayed up right shocked me. Then round 6, after round 5 I thought he had no shot getting up. Not unconscious, NOPE got up survived, took round 7 off and started to take it back in round 8.

How do so many fans completely miss the most important parts of fights. Why is so much taken totally out of context ? Seems many on here actually missed the fight, that's too bad so much happened, was great

Did you just understand me now? I said before that Joshuas chin is his weakness. This is based on evidence and accounts regarding Joshuas suspect chin. I have proof (youtube footage-rocked against Dillian Whyte caused by hook to the jaw etc...) not that I need to provide it, most boxing fans knows this including Joshua but I don't think you do :)

Can you prove one of Joshuas strengths is his chin? Can you show me all his fights (including amateurs) that shows he's never been wobbled or hurt? If I see all his fights showing his chin as his strength by never being wobbled then I will agree with you and retract my earlier opinions.

That proves he's got heart. Not chin, the weak chin put him on the floor. Did you want me to show you your definition of heart? it agrees with me that what you just described is a show of heart.

Wow changing the subject now? lol ok so now were talking about the 2 left hooks I missed. No I watched the fight to be honest, I watched it on youtube.
Yeah absolutely. A great show of heart to weather the storm and get back up and fight on because you wouldn't call that a show of chin now would you. Or would you? lol

"Get up Joshua! show some chin?" lol, no its show some heart.

I'm guessing if he dropped some of the muscle that can fix his so called stamina issue to a degree, no need to come in that big anyway

By that assessment EVERYONE has a weak chin including Mike Tyson who was buckled by tony Tucker? You cant say a fighter is weak chinned against a huge puncher or by ONE punch...would you like me to list EVERY boxer whos been hurt or buckled who have great chins??LOL...Nonsense! And wasnt Parker wobbled against Takam who doesnt hit hard /not known for one punch power?

As stamina stated i think most missed the actual fight and didnt see all those shots Joshua took.

'Staminakills' was replying to 'on the money' with the 2 left hooks thing.

I think Joshua has shown a decent chin so far, all the heart in the world won't make your chin better and if he was packing glass he would either have been on the canvas more than once or unable to beat the count when he did.
I would rate his chin on what we have seen so far as good, not great but not a major concern. Also, he doesn't fight in the manner of a fighter who is overly concerned with getting hit

If you put Povetkin in front of him he'd get knocked out as that guy would not take the foot off the gas when he hurt or dropped him like Wlad did.

Can you show me where Parker is clearly wobbled by Takam please? When I say clearly, I mean like when Molina wobbled Wilder because then we can both agree Joe was defintely wobbled. I mustve missed that.

In regards to the chin - there is a reason why it is an attribute to a boxer as I have clearly defined in my posts above. If everyone had a weak chin then there wouldnt be such an attribute. Mike Tyson had a fair chin IMO but explaining that is a long story. Guys like Chuvalo or Tua had good chins.

Im not trying to play 'Im a boxer' card here but if you have a bit of pop in your own punches and you sparred enough, you will understand chin a lot better depending if you come across a boxer with one.

People are wrong about joshuas stamina. His stamina is very good. Its actually amazingly good for a man of his size with all that muscle.

Its one of the biggest things that point to him on something.

Go back and watch the pace of the whyte fight before hes "rocked". The pace is very high if joshuas stamina was a weakness he would have been blowing heavy in that fight early...it wasnt till whyte rocked him it went. The staminas very good it only goes when he gets hurt...and it goes completely. But his normal stamina without being hurt is actually very good. Go as far too say he could go 15 rounds comfortably if he wasnt hit with something big.

Same with klitchko fight. If joshua had any worry about stamina i m pretty sure he wouldnt have threw it all on the line in the 5th round. What happened was he was hurt by a punch. Without that punch he would have probably continued that barrage on wlad. The punch hit him then physically he shuts down. And he does for too long. Its his biggest weakness and achilles heel.

He doesnt actually have that many weaknesses. Its just that some of his attributes arent as great as his great attributes.

The only ones that i think cause him problems are...

His hands come down as a fight goes on...eradicated in the wlad fight mostly tbf.

Hes too slow coming out of an exchange. Hes like a truck reversing. His speeds fine going into exchanges its coming back out that might cost him. Again wasnt really on show against wlad.

He not that hard to hurt. His chin is actually shaky. Its just that hes not easy to finish cause hes a unit and most importantly his brain doesnt shut down when hes hurt. Its actually a massive strength. But its negated because his biggest weakness the one that will come back to hurt him is....he takes too long to recover physically once hurt. It takes him rounds to recover. Physically he shuts down. Luckily mentally he doesnt. But hes got a bit lucky that whyte jarred his shoulder when he was going in for the kill and klitchko was just a bit too far gone to finish him. But i think its something future opponents now know if you hurt him you have to finish him...hes too dangerous to keep in their.

Lets be honest his list of strengths are way longer than his list of weaknesses. Hes actually a very good fighter with only a few weaknesses. But that one big weakness hes got is pretty massive. Its one thats difficult to eradicate as well. Its the only thing that gives the current list of heavyweights a chance against him. Not only that but it gives guys outside the top guys a chance against him also.
