    HaHaHa

how many witter fights you ever watched?, the man is lazy? he is perfect at mastering timing, witter was quite fast, especially with over hand right, the man was a great champion just very over looked, he would of schooled hatton, no denying it, hatton was extremly wreckless coming in, witter would of cought him all night,

Indeed he wasnt but Hatton leading with his face the way he does and Witters love of the fast punch form nowhere I cant not see Hatton walking on to one of them.

Bradley got old Witter so thats not really fair.

True if Hatton was able to hurt Witter early he might have forced him into a shell but in a fight that menat that much I don't see it.

team Hatton wanted nothing to do with Witter and thats not just becasue he wasnt a draw , was Jaun Urango a draw ?

Yeah because Warren was filling the MEN with Hatton and didnt want him beat. Thats the only politics going on there.

I have seen quite a lot of Witter's fights..... including many of those in his run of 15 consecutive stoppages.

Against decent opposition he couldn't time his ****ing wristwatch, pal

Couldn't get rid of shot Corley..... took 9 to get rid of a journeyman (Morua) and 7 to get rid of the great Vivian Harris.

That alone hardly suggests he is knocking Hatton out....... most of the time he spends posturing with his arms and switching stances rather than actually throwing shots. To beat Hatton you need to be powerful and accurate with your shots, preferably throwing them in combinations. Witter is fairly powerful, not particuarly accurate and hasn't proven his ability to combo at the elite level.

Maybe he could do it, but the evidence suggests otherwise, IMO.

Extremely lazy. Witter would switch off a lot. His timing was very good back when this fight should of happened but he seemed to have lost his timing vs Alexander. Also the guy saying Hatton won titles domestically the vacant brit title then straight to the WBU yep he cleared up there

I'm not associating myself with that dude BB

Hatton was a better fighter than a lot of people are now trying to make out ( revisionist history being so popular on here ) and maybe Hatton would have beaten him but there can be no doubt the fight should have been made and it wasnt , two of the best LWW in the world who are both from the north of england and one has spent years calling the other out.

I honestly consider a bigger stain on Hattons career than the ring post incident.

    :good

I agree the fight should have happened at some stage, but sometimes fights just don't happen.

I know Eubank & Benn, Lewis & Bruno etc happened, but at the time it made best sense for both of them - both careerwise and financially.

There were bigger fights for Hatton than against a guy who bottled it in a world title fight (during the 2000-2002 period) and once Hatton hit the big time in 2005 it was never happening. 30% of the Mayweather money would have been a greater sum than 95% of the Witter money.... so it was obvious the route that would be chosen.

When you put it like that I suppose financially at least you have a good point.

Guess I would too proud for my own good ( and that has led to me getting my baws booted more than once :D)

Prime for prime (thats during His WBU reign for RH IMHO) Hatton would have taken over after about round 5 and gone onto stop him.

i considering the state both of their careers are in now, it would be a great fight for them. a domestic grudge match and imagine how motivated theyd be for it. sky could sell this as a good ppv i think. i reckon hatton would beat him unless hes not mentally the same from the pacman and mayweather beatings

sadly i think hattons recent comments about fighting cotto mean he still thinks he can win the "p4p crown". (hatton doesnt get the concept of the pound for pound rating)

i think he`ll beat a fat marquez then go chasing fighters too good for him again

its wishful thinking, but id like to see him shut up witter then khan in 2 domestic superfights then retire

Hatton stepped in at the last minute (about five weeks notice) to save a show after Joe Calzaghe pulled out with a hand injury..... think it was to fight Johnson.....

Vilches was the best opponent they could get in. That was the start of his problems with Frank Warren, which lead to their split a year later.

I just think it was a wasted opportunity to have a good domestic bout with a bit of bad blood. I was keen for it to happen and I'm not even a Pommie.
