I know people think Joyce is shot but it is entirely possible Hrgovic falls asleep during the fights.

I fear that and his possible lack of motivation, I hope he's not just chasing money and that he'll be focused in the fight, that he's still hungry for success...

Joyce pulls it out of the bag and stops Hrgovic. Hrgovic has a tendency to get lazy in the ring

Surely Hrgovic needs at least 2 week’s training for this and to not come into the fight directly from the Bar.

If he does he stops Joyce inside 4 rounds.

A massive difference in levels between these fighters if Hrgovic comes into it 80% fit.

It is not the laziness in the ring that is the issue it’s the lack of training and discipline out of it that has cost Hrgovic.

Far better fight indeed. Hrgovic by decision.

People here obviously don't realise how shot Joyce is. What a terrible match for him and he will be KO'd.

This is the guy who turned down Okolie recently.

    Bingo.

If Hrgovic can't beat a zombified fringe contender, he's never going to go anywhere.

I think he'll manage it, Joyce was always slow and he's now glacially so - and his chin definitely isn't what it was, either.

Hrgovic gas tank is always a concern, but it shouldn't really be a problem here - Joyce won't force him into a high tempo fight even if it goes to later rounds.

As you say, this really is a bit of a last chance saloon for Hrgovic - lose this and he'll find it even harder to get opportunities that he's actually interested in.

    Is there, really, though?

Joyce is a ghost of a fringe contender and was always massively overhyped.

Hrgovic is a never-was, so far, who's still essentially a prospect despite heaps of hype in short bursts.

If Hrgovic can't win this, even on a short camp, it might say a lot about his future in the sport.

When he first turned over for the first 3 years he was a blue chip prospect. However after years of being avoided like the plague by the title holders, he became disillusioned with professional boxing and basically gave up on his dreams.

Then when he finally did get the opportunities he was already just a shell of who he was in the first 3 years of being a professional.

I have watched him since his first fights as a professional and have seen the visible decline in him.

It’s a shame but once you lose that hunger and drop your level, you never get it back again.

So I was referring to fighter he was when he first turned professional as being levels above.

Today it’s marginal if he will even turn up in the ring against Joyce with 1 weeks training under his belt.

In my view Hrgovic is finished as a contender due to this, but has more in the tank than Joyce even now.

Hrgovic always seemed overconfident and undermotivated previously.

He's now been soundly beaten once. If he can't get out of bed for this next one it's never happening.

It should be remembered that Hrgo was repeatedly landing on Dubois with a simple straight right before he started to succumb to DDDs pressure. With the amount of leather he was landing, on another evening he might have hurt or even stopped Dubois and suddenly it's Hrgo v AJ and we're talking about how Hrgo really was the heir appparent all along.

    Fine margins in this sport.

The fact that Hrgovic was landing right hands at will on Dubois for 3 rounds straight in their fight and didn't phase him, as well as the fact that he hasn't stopped anyone of note, makes it extremely unlikely to me that he'll stop someone with Joyce's chin.

Even if that chin isn't what it was, he kept coming forward through Chisora's punches all night in his last fight, and Chisora has a bigger punch than Hrgovic imo.

I can't remember the last time I was so torn apart over who I want to win.
