According to an article I read from Last night, Joyce is in "advanced talks" with David Haye, makes sense as Hearn has Joshua, Whyte & Allen and Warren has Dubois. But is Haye capable of getting Joyce the exposure he needs?
Tony Yoka who controversially defeated Joyce in the Olympic final debuted last night too, with a 2nd round KO over 12-0 Travis Clarke.
Looking forward to see Joyce rise in the Pro ranks, not sure what to make of his decision to go with hayemaker promotions, can't see him getting any Sky time with Eddie, maybe he will get some channel 5 & ITV coverage early on in his career, perhaps even Frank will give him some slots on BT as he starts to get in more competitive fights to help build a Joyce v Dubious blockbuster fight later down the line.
I've never been too impressed with Joyce. He looks too stiff and slow. I think he'll have the best stamina tho out of the HWs
Joyce is awful. Slow and telegraphed. Although in typical heavyweight hype job fashion he can be matched against 20 bums he can knock out quickly before he gets Tony Thompson'd.
Joyce isn't a good conventional boxer at all, his technique is all over the place but he'll be a handful for anyone sheerly down to his size, work rate and stamina.
Well that should obviously pay off, I just hope Haye gives each of his fighters 100% and don't hang them out to dry further down the line.
A good addition to the UK domestic heavyweight scene but a bit too old so will need to be fast tracked. Going against Hearn and Warren could give him access to Dubois/Joshua/Whyte etc if he can get some wins together so might be a smart move financially. Any beef/wins/drops from his amateur days with current HW prospects?
