Joyce vs Dubois will NOT be PPV - Frank Warren saving British Boxing?

All very good fights but I don't get how a card that has a European HW title fight and a HW Commonwealth title fight tops a card with a legit top 5 HW vs top 10 HW (Whyte vs Rivas), A CW world title fight(Okolie vs Lebedev) and fight of domestic level HWs that involves a fighter that is a bigger name and attraction than any of of the 4 fighters on the first card?

 

THere is no evidence that Whyte is better than Joyce or that Rivas is better than Dubois. In fact, a lot of the experts on this forum would have Joyce beating Rivas and Whyte I would think ( @CST80 @Serge ).

So pull your head out of Boxrec rankings and look at the fights objectively, you have two massive undefeated British Heavyweights in Joyce vs Dubois who the bookies cant seperate, or you have a PPV show with Pudding Whyte and Midget Rivas for no title. Which do you think British fight fans would prefer to see?

 

If you're trying to give reasons why one card is better than the other, I wouldn't be using Okolie fighting on it as a reason why. He's absolutely awful to watch. Like seriously fckin horrible. He should be sin-binned from appearing on any PPV cards in the near future.

Common they might be more competitive fights (although the quality is the higher standard on the Whyte card) but are you really suggesting that does more PPV buys than the Whyte card?

 

Oh the Askin and Chamberlian fights were dreadful to watch but it's still a world title fight. You still had people tunening in to watch Furys two WC fights despite the majority of performances also being awful to watch.

 

The proposed Warren card is not a PPV. The Pudding Whyte v Midget Rivas card is a PPV. With Comedy Dave Allen v Plumber Pricey and Okolipus on the undercard.

That’s all. This argument warrants no further discussion. The potential Warren card is considerably better.

 

Let's wait and see if fronks hypothetical fights are made first, It's no gimme is it.

 

Baby Ting should hire Sam Jones as his own manager. I see no reason why a boxing manager shouldn’t have a manager if it’s someone as shrewd as Sam.

 

Dubois needs to face someone like Szpilka or Jennings first. Then showdown with Joyce.

 

Warren - the working class hero, who’d have fought it. But fair play if they are all delivered & free (ish) to view.
