135lbs would be ideal, But 140lbs is wide open.
(Already been there done that @ 135lbs)

like it or not, Diaz is a Jr. Welterweight now.

I don't doubt that Diaz is a dedicated fighter. I just don't think he is a very disciplined one when it comes to diet. He can change his diet and still remain at 135. He looks to me as a guy who is actually fighting at a weight-class that he is too big for excluding his height. Flab on a guy that is under 147 is kinda funny to me. What's even more funny is the guy is only 25. Imagine him at 35. He would be known as Doughnut Diaz fighting at 147.:-( Is he related to Arreola or something.

I've been saying this for years......since before Pac and JMM stepped up to lightweight, the concensus in this forum was that Diaz would would devour Pac......My opinion back then was that Diaz was not a big lightweight, and that both Pac and JMM would beat Diaz quite comfortably.

Juan Diaz is an aggressor with a very high workrate but not concussive type of power.
These types dont get better as they go up in weight.
As they go up in weight, with the mass they put on, their workrate decreases, and with Diaz, its magnified even more as he's not a big puncher.

Diaz who as a lightweight walks into the ring at less than 140 lbs, definitely should drop back and fight as a lightweight.

Diaz at 140 is all wrong, he is a 135 fighter, if were his trainer i would kick his ass in training and bring him down to 130. He would kill fighters at 130 imo
