He was going to school part time while pursuing a career in pro boxing. The fact that his grades were good enough for him to get accepted into law school is impressive. The fact that he was able to attain this GPA while winning and defending a lightweight world title for a number of years is even more so. His style wasn't conducive to a really long term career, but he got the most out of what he had, and the fact he retained his mental acuity and got out at more or less the right time makes what could have been a sad story into one that might have a happy ending. Good for him. Best of luck going forward.
Then I'll be accused of taking jobs away from the black man. I'll stick to selling oranges, thank you!
Not to mention under go a series of exams, letters of recommenedations etc. The law school he is attending is no joke, and one of the top in the Nation..... I have an MBA, and graduated with Cum Laude (when I got my Bachelors) and couldn't get into this Law program if I wanted to...... I am glad to see another Mexican-American come up :happy:good Good on him, God Bless him and his family, as he goes for this... Change the World hermano!!!
I've always liked him and think he's now an underrated fighter (he did unify three titles, earning them each one by one). A good kid, with a good head on his shoulders. I wish him the best.
Anyone can get into law school, no matter how shitty their LSAT is. Unless he's going to a top 14 school, and even maybe top 5, he has no chance at a good job at all.
