It's hard to imagine a lightweight Marquez during 04/05.. He was at his prime at featherweight so....

Well Castillo had the power to put Marquez to sleep.... but then again so does Pac and we all saw how that panned out.

I picked Marquez on the poll by " instincts " lol .. After all, he's my favorite fighter but i have to be objective and pick Castillo by SD.... I started thinking about CAstillo's prime during 04/05 against Julio Diaz and Chico and boy was he a monster.... He was the complete package with the super chin and the whole nine... He did lack speed but he made up for it with his supreme sense of timing... The difference between an 05 Castillo and an 09 Marquez is that one was a peaking fighter while the other lost a few steps and is past his prime. Castillo SD Marquez
I posted this thread up a while back. Man this fight would be FOTY for sure if it happened. Honestly I think Marquez would catch Castillo coming in for the most part but....Castillo was a very skilled brawler who fought terrific on the inside much like Jdiaz but Castillo liked to switch it up he used the body and would finish with one of the best uppers in the game. Id favour Castillo at this weight just because he came in almost a welter and would overpower Marquez...I cant believe I said that.
I got Castillo. Castillo was big and good at cutting off the ring. He was also a very good body puncher and would be the heaviest hitter Marquez has ever faced.
