JuanMa vs. Gamboa

Lopez by late T/KO in a tough, grueling back and forth fight of the year..

 

And he might be right, just because Juanma wants it doesn't mean Arum will oblige, good promotion in any case.

 

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say Gamboa destroys Juanma. Both are currently two of my favorite fighters but I get the feeling Gamboa is just way too quick and powerful for Juanma. Add to that Juanma has been hurt a few times and everytime I have seen Gamboa down it was more because of balance issues.

That said if Juanma were to win I would guess by KO, perhaps with Gamboa getting too wild.

Either way I don't see this going the distance. Way too much power from both guys.

I'd predict this would be FOTY before it happened, and an ATG like Hagler/Hearns. Short, but ****ing loaded.

Gamboa is to sloppy and just cause he put Solis away quickly doesn't mean anything. Solis had nothing anyway. We have seen Lopez hurt by big shots, shake it off, and keep blasting. I like to see what happens to Gamboa when he gets caught with a big shot. He's gone down with flash knockdowns so keep that in mind.

 

It is a 50/50 affair, I'll go with my countryman, Gamboa by UD (I think he will not b as wild, and will only go for the ko if he hurt JML) just because they both pack a punch, it doesn't mean it will end by ko.

 

What about when Lopez gets hit for real by a full fledge FW with dynamite in both hands? Why you dismissing Gamboas accomplishment, are you one of the guys that were predicting a Solis win, did you change your nick?

 

I said Gamboa would win but if Solis came in to fight he might pull an upset. Obviously he had no legs, power or strength of any kind cause it was clear he was weight drained. He didn't have to be touched much to get him to go down. And Gamboa has been hit by as hard a puncher as can be in those weights with Marquez. JuanMa can be hit, and Gamboa is a hard puncher, but everyone here is so stuck on his speed and power, and no one is paying attention to his bad habits, sloppy punches and clunky foot work.

 

You are full of crap, pardon my French, he was not drained he is been campaigning 126-130 for years and at fight night he was the bigger man 139 lbs for Gamboa's 136 lbs, what happens was that he got hit hard and he could not match the speed of Gamboa, I don't think any one can, those attributes could make anyone look slow and drained, that is what Gamboa did.

 

Oh yeah, then why was he stuffing his face with pizza and spaghetti immediately after he got of the scale. HBO folks showed that for a reason. And just cause he was 3 pounds heavier don't mean anything. Empty weight that served him no purpose. Why do you think he was unsteady and all over the place, not to mention he had nothing in his punches.

 

And what do u think happens when you come in weight drained and take a shot. You got no strength in your legs so when you get hit, u can't steady yourself. you have never been hungry and in a fight at the same time.

 

Because he likes that $hit, I haven't heard anything remotely close from Solis camp, stop the BS he got starched by a better fighter that is all, they may not b in the same zip code in talent I'll say, but some ppl here were giving Solis a fair chance, I was one of then do to his resume and toughness, but like Max said Gamboa put everything together last night, power, defense and speed. Listen to ur argument. "Because he likes that ****." Sry, but not enough insurace to support ur claims. And your putting your boy Gamboa on the wall now cause you said Gamboa is the better fighter. Well of course he is the better fighter! Solis is only a tough fighter who walks you down with gd power. How can u do even that if ur emaciated. An opponet such as JuanMa can and will have answers for Gamboa's limited fighting ability. And I'm sure folks here including myself wouldn't have given Solis a prayer if we knew how much going down in weight was affecting him.
