if he could get past quintana or judah then the next fight would be probably cintron or clottey before a fight againts an elite such as cotto, shane, margo, williams
I agree however I put Clottey in the same elite class at Cotto, Shane, Margo, and Williams. Cintron makes a lot of sense if Berto should get past the potential Judah-Quintana winner.
Yo Beenie that was a good thread you did saying Collazo beat Berto with you being the big Berto fan you are, but yo I think Berto did win. Initially I had 6 rounds a piece, but I watched it a few times and changed my score to 7-5 Berto.... I thought he did enough to win the first round, that shot Collazo landed didn't hurt Berto IMO and Collazo didn't really do anything else that round. So do you still think Collazo shoulda got the nod?
I watched the fight multiple times and I consistently score the fight 6-6 with Collazo winning due to the point deduction. (B.S. point deduction I might add) Believe me that I have tried to rationalize giving the first round to Berto but I just can't because of the counter left that stunned him so bad.
Yea that was a nonsense point deduction but honestly I thought Berto was more off balance than anything, and landed some solid shots afterwards. I also though it shoulda been called a KD when Collazo went down in the 12th.
I definitely think Berto is capable to beating Collazo by UD if he were fight him again using a different game plan. Hopefully he gives Collazo a rematch to prove himself and becuase Collazo defintely deserves one.
winner should fight Collazo. Berto is gonna fight Cotto in june if Cottos down, because Berto is. then that winner can fight Collazo. Judah needs to fight Urango at 140, I think he'll beat the crap out of him
:-( berto is not ready for cotto 2 more fights yes atleast 1 more fight against 1 of the guys i have stated earlier
yeah hes probably not ready, but dont we want boxers to take chances??? hes got a belt so its time for the big boys, if he loses he loses. he would've to comeback like Pavilk and Cotto, thats all.
Quintana outboxes Judah and takes Berto's title ... up and comers are lunch meat for Quintana who likes to feed off of fighters who under estimate him. Judah doesn't have anything past the 6th round ... and Quintana is good with his defense and movements ... he boxes for 6 rounds with Judah then takes him out late.
:deal FOR SURE, but i would not go as far as sayin quintana takes berto that fight is a very good match up and i dont think berto would under estimate him especialy if he gets past judah (which he should to with ease like you stated)
I think Quitnana takes Berto out ... he's a very underrated fighter .... and Berto takes him deep 7-12 rounds then Berto stands to be big trouble because Quintana has been 12 with some pretty big punchers and has stood up to them. Quintana has underrated power as well ... so look for Berto's chin to be tested far more than Collazo's attempts.
