It's funny how Malignaggi didn't complain one bit when he fought in Atlantic City, about the wide ring, or when one judge scored the fight 117-111 against Ngoudji. And anybody who saw that fight dam knew that was not 117-111 fight.Yet he complains about Diaz getting home town treatment.atsch
I think Diaz won by a round.... a draw would have been fair imo, as would a malignaggi win, it was a close ass fight with the more effective punches coming from diaz, who was the one pressing the fight as well. Pualie was impressive and did a great job, but people saying that no way did diaz win that fight, are as bad as scoring fights as the guy that gave diaz every round. 7-5 Diaz, 6-6 or 7-5 malignaggi are all acceptable imo...
see to me i thought paulie landed the cleaner most effective punches....a jab counts just as much as a power punch....and for every hard to see sloppy connect on the inside that diaz landed paulie landed about 5 clean jabs, i thought this fight was actually easier to score then say cotto-clottey, which i scored for cotto by a point...this fight was way easier and it was clear paulie won IMO....the best result i could see for diaz is 114-114
Exactly the reason I scored it for diaz. There were large stretches where Paulie just got on his bicycle. Paulie fought a good fight and put on his best performance in quite some time....but he didn't win the fight.
