Next weekend Haapoja defends his EU-title against Francesco Versaci (18-1 Italy)

Should be interesting. Last time Haapoja fought it was against Ian Timms in february. Haapoja won by points.

Versaci quit after third round so Haapoja keeps his EU-belt.. Poor Italian was crying after round 2 and refused to go on after third round.. Challenger was down in the third and couldn't do anything with Haapoja..

Btw Haapoja was schleuded to fight against Lamon Brewster in a undercard of Valuev - Chagaev 2 about 3 years ago.. Brewster's first opponent got a injury and there was hurry to get a replacement so Haapoja took the fight 2 weeks notice and postponed his honeymoon because of that Sadly the whole evening was canceled because of Chagaev hepatitis.. Weigh inns were done and everything seemed to be ready but....

That show which never happaned was in Helsinki, Finland...

That's true. Masternak is more talented and better all around boxer as you mentioned. But will sometimes overcomes skills. I'm pretty sure Haapoja will test Masternak's toughness today. If he can handle it, fairplay to him and congrats :good Haapoja is the man and Masternak is the question to be answered. Good test!! I'm 100% impressed if he can handle Haapoja without any problems.

I might be biased and crazy but after seeing the weight in and some interviews I just got a feeling that Haapoja could pull an upset. Something tells me that Masternak isn't that tough mentally. I'm maybe too high with Haapoja's toughness but.. He is badass.. :conf

But still.. Masternak should win this..
