No wayatsch Ok the Chavez that fought ODLH would lose to Cuevas and probably get stopped late. However the Chavez between 90-93 were to move up to Welter or even come in at 143 to Cuevas at 147 would weather the Cuevas storm and his super accurate punches and superior boxing ability would ring up points and he would outclass him towards the end. Cuevas was a super puncher but he wouldnt land enough to dent Iron chinned Chavez who even at Welter had a great chin, at this point in Chavez career he still had some good defense and would not be overwhelmed by Cuevas power, after a while Cuevas would start to feel Chavezs shots and wouldnt be coming as strong as earlier Chavez by competetive but convincing decision.
Even if Chavez did have the chin to take some of Pipino's shots, Cuevas would also be digging to the body. Pipino had 15 round stamina, and prevailed in a brutal war of attrition in fracturing Espada's jaw during their middle bout. (Let's not forget that he also broke Weston's jaw and the eye socket of Backus.) Chavez would get hit too often to have a chance at winning.
