It seems as if people hate Chavez Jr just because other people hate him, I say give the kid time I mean he's very young and has alot of physical attributes going for him and is promoted by the best in Top Rank.

I cut him some slack for now but he better be making a move soon.
I have seen him fight a few times and he definately has power. Defense is not so good though.

Im kind of excited to watch this fights.
Im surprised its not PPV. What the hell...

I like Chavez Jr. and just wish that people would be more patient with him. They see the "Chavez" name and expect him to be ready, but he's still very new to the game. He's fought just over 130 rounds, which is nowhere near enough yet. By the time a lot of top fighters turn pro, they've had around 130 amatuer fights.

He needs a little time yet. I don't want to see him move up to see, as he's good for boxing. People were talking about an Alfonso Gomez fight last year, which was too soon. Keep feeding him guys like this and in a couple of years, he might turn out to be a really good fighter.

I only wish he wasn't on PPV. It doesn't affect me as we don't get his fights anyway, but it's an insult that people charge for his fights. He should be rotated between HBO undercards, ESPN and Telefutura or whatever it's called. He's the biggest potential star in boxing, so putting him on PPV isn't going to help him when he does break out.

He's a good exciting fighter though. If he wasn't called "Chavez" he'd have a lot less haters.

I agree with you Jack. The name makes people think he should be ready to take on the best. He needs to get experience.
At least he fights very frequently though.
