    Bey is catching Velasquez now coming in with the jab to the face and following up a push-off right to propel himself back. Velasquez's glove is coming completely unstrung, tape hanging everywhere. Velasquez is throwing slow overhand rights. Bey is hooking and backing up. Straight right hand, and a quick trot to the right. Bey is boxing nicely now, and Velasquez is looking old and ineffective. Momentum is back with Bey and unless Velasquez can find another knockdown the win could be slipping away. Bey dances back and jabs. Velasquez tries for body shots but gets grabbed and held. Bey is killing time, and turns Velasquez to the ropes to shoeshine him. Split. Clinch. Shoeshine. They start separating and Velasquez charges forward while digging some lefts to the body, but there's little on them.

    Bob Sheridan just tried to egg Raul Marquez on to call out some of the 154 pounders he's been thinking about coming back against, but Marquez says that their boss (Top Rank producer Marty something) would kill him if he didn't stick to commentating.

    Bey hooks and moves. Velasquez tries to jab low. Clinch. Velasquez hits him in the back. BIG left hook by Bey, but it's partially caught on the right palm of Velasquez. Bey is boxing nicely moving backward, slapping out and landing double hooks to the ear. Velasquez walks into a jab and gets held. Bey gets in some body shots.

    Velasquez jabs the body. Bey moves off and circles outside. Velasquez throws a 1-2 that brushes Bey on the widow's peak as he's ducking. Clinch and both give back slaps. Bey hooks his way out and back. Velasquez reaches with rights, and has his head pushed down in a clinch. Bey holds his left out after jabbing, planking Velasquez out at range. Velasquez misses a slow overhand right and Bey ducks in to counter with some quick hooks. Clinch. Double jab by Bey misses. Clinch. Velasquez slugs to the body. Bey backs up. Shoeshine by Bey down low, and then he brings a BIG fast left hook upstairs that knocks Velasquez back a few steps. Velasquez can't straighten up or keep his balance as Bey keeps pushing down on the back of his neck. Bey misses more jabs until they clinch again. Velasquez catches some jabs on his right palm.
