You're mistaking the pre-fight Haye to the real person. Haye is a classy guy just like WALDO and I'm sure he'll give WALDO his due if he wins.
What qualifies as an excuse to you? Is it an excuse saying he beat a former CW champ who did NOTHING at HW? They don't deserve equal credit for a win over the other, which you sound like you think whomever wins should get. Wlad is the best HW out there. If Haye wins, that 's that he beat. If Wlad wins...well, you saw my second sentance.
I sure hope so, he's really left a bad taste in my mouth. So many fighters do that to me... I think they're cool then they start mouthing off and I just hate it. Just my personality I guess.
Either way, won't we get a unified champion within 6 months of Vitali's retirement? assuming: a) Vitali fights Chag/Valuev winner and then either retires or fights Haye b) he'll only fight Haye if Haye beats Wlad, and will retire after that fight. If he retires after a win, then belt(s) is vacant and will be settled by bout. If he retires after a loss, then winner fights remaining champion within 6 months. So when Vitali retires, only two of Wlad, Haye, Chagaev, Valuev remain as champs, and unification can occur within 6 months of that. i.e. if Wlad beats Haye, Vitali fights Chagaev/Valuev winner and then retires Wlad fights for the vacant belt and this unifies (guess he'd have to fight Povetkin first?) If Haye beats Wlad twice, then he fights Vitali if Vitali has beaten Chag/Valuev. This unifies. If Vitali lost against Chag/Valuev then he would be retired and Haye can unify seems Wlad losing is more complicated
It's not personal at all, a lot of fighters do it but it's just business. Haye's big mouth has generated a lot of interest in this fight and I'm sure WALDO loves him for it as he is now able to sell out a 75,000 capacity venue due to it. He wouldn't have got that from ANY other fighter right now. Once the fights over the trash talking will stop, I'm sure.
For the most part I'm sure. I can see either one of them saying "I lost to the better man" or the classic "I lost to the better man tonight" But a few months later, they might do an interview and say "Yes, I lost that fight and no excuses but..." <-- insert training injury here It's just human nature. When they replay the fight over and over in their head they're going to come up with something. I would. And so would 99.9% of y'all.
True enough....but if fighters didn't do that we'd never have rematches. We'd have been deprived of the Ali-Frazier trilogy, Ward-Gatti, Holy-Ruiz etc etc
How the **** is WALDO going to KO Haye 2 rounds after he's been knocked out himself :huh :bbb:hi::rasta:good
