    Nope not really.
He hasnt really fought someone good at the HW and when he even got tooled against Werdum on the feet.
Winning a standup fight against Lesnar isnt something to boost about.
Sure he has heavy hands and has good K-1 credentials but he doesnt have the mma striking credentials

How so? He dominated Brett Rogers. KOed Duffee within a few seconds but Fujiita into a coma, dominated Lae-Tee-Hyun and Paul Buentello. Obviously these guys excluding maybe Rogers are all complete bums but his striking has looked good nonetheless. When Velasquez beat Brock he was meant to be the best HW in the world :deal

And don't be ridiculous, Werdum didn't 'tool' Overeem on the feet. He landed some pitty pat punches and shat himself and flopped to the ground every time Overeem started throwing combinations. He may have outscored Overeem standing up but he didn't tool him. Thats just ****ing ridiculous.

Overeem for me. Better overall Thai skills will negate JDS better hands.

Obliterating B level fighters in the way Overeem has , has been impressive i grant you that , but given the problems he had with Werdum , who's a limited striker , and the fact he's not been tested yet @HW in a high paced fight against an equal opponent , leaves the big question marks over Overeem's head IMHO

And im not insulting you , or anything like that im just posting in a live debate here so relax , or revise , or something  ....................... sorry :D

Anyway , Overeem for me and for many was out pointed on the feet by Werdum , thats opinion based , and mine is that he was struggling with him , the fact Werdum attempted to pull guard after almost every exchange is what lost him the decision , how can you possibly win a fight with them tactics , that said , Werdum survived the 3 rounds , which may of been a big part of the strategy , because by the time the final bell went Overeem was gassed , and his output had dwindled , this is what would have me worried if i were team Overeem because Overeem dictated the pace of the fight probably 80% of the time , and was looking sloppy come the end

    Why ???

Because dos Santos is a freakish athlete , who doesnt move like a big man , he moves like a smaller man but packs a big man's punch , with fast and precise combination punching , dos Santos will be effective in making Overeem uncomfortable , and making him think and act defensively a lot more than any of is HW opponents to date , that is just plain and simply a fact

I do not beleive Overeem has the athletic ability to match dos Santos , therefore if he doesnt hurt / stun or finish dos Santos early he may find himself out of his depth , thats just the way i see it
