Junior the quitter Witter

LHL I know you obviously like Witter and are a fan. I like you from your posts so my objective is not to add salt to injury. However in my opinion for what is worth I think Witter has been slipping as a fighter for a number of years now. The only performance in recent years which made me sit up was the Vivian Harris one though their was the suspicion Harris may have been shot. The performance against Lynes a few years ago which Witter claerly won gave me cause for concern at least from Witter perspective. I also think Witter is what can be called an on top fighter who finds it difficult to adapt when things are not going his way. There really cannot be any excuses left after Saturday.

 

Yeah Olu i see what you mean. The Harris fight was one of his best performances but Harris has went on to look worse. He was on a good run of performances he looked good against bradley, Harris and against Corley. The fights around the Lynes fight Witter always scraped through but i always put that down to him being lazy and slightly unmotivated. He really stepped his game up a lot after though.

Any news on Ajose next fight. I think you said it was against the Romanian Jo Jo Dan but haven't seen anything announced

 

Yes you are right Ionut Dan Ion is next in the WBC final eliminator for the winner to take on Alexander as his mandatory contender. His promoter won the purse bid and they want to stage it in Romania. Dates have not been given yet though there are attempts to get the contest to London. I must say my opinion of Alexander has gone up significantly after Saturday's performance. Technically he is a very sound fighter with sound fundamentals.

 

I have not seen any fights in Romania before but i would think they like there boxing especially with the amount of talent they have recently produced. Hope the dates are announced soon enough.

Yeah i give Alexander a bit of stick before the fight i wasn't expecting him to be as fast as he was. I still think he is an easy target for a belt.

 

I did not really have a yardstick for Alexander but from what I have seen he is a fundamentally sound fighter who is quick and is a southpaw. I think it will take a real good fighter to beat him. My investigation into him has thrown up some real interesting such as that he had won 300 amateur contests and only 10 losses
