In a way I can understand the comments. Hatton avoided Witter for years and effectively stopped Witter from getting a huge pay day. I would be bitter and pissed off with him as well.

It would have been an incredibly boring fight between the pair. Horrendous clash of style with Hatton's marauding wrestling and Witter's cagey ingle style. It could have done some harm to the sport in Britain given the size of the event which would attract casual fans who would end up bored to death by the actual fight.
Junior Witter did'nt want Ricky Hatton for the money. I still think Hatton would of won maybe, but if they fought now. And Junior Witter got his act together technically during training, he would beat Hatton. witter was never anywhere near hattons class , his career resume proves that beyond a doubt witter used hattons name to build him up witter would have been battered senseless if they ever fought
