I was being sarcastic. Those clips have been posted on here dozens of times.

My opinion on Hatton-Witter hasn't changed for years. It would have seen a good fight 2002-2005 and its a shame it didn't happen. After 2005, as Hatton fan, I wasn't really that bothered the fight didn't happen in that timeframe as I was generally happy with the fights Hatton did take.

I try not to use the word "duck" in connection with boxing. Its childish and usually far too simplistic for what actually happens in pro boxing.

It's ironic that it's Mayweathers actions in ducking out of the DLH re-match that let in someone who's turned out to be their worst nightmare in Pacquiao who took the vacant DLH/Mayweather HBO spot & trounced DLH

It was all so cosy a set up with hatton talking about breaking attendance records at wembley or croak pk in Ireland aginst DLH & Mayweather in the obvious mega $$$$$$$$ rematch + promotional tie-ups with DLH's Golden Boy promotions in the absolute accendency & Pacquiao obliterated all of that

 

Your not being honest with yourself Gareth. You couldnt actually get a more simple or clear cut case of ducking if you searched the entire history of British boxing

 

To be fair, I think Witter had a valid point when he said the HOF is a popularity contest to a degree and on that basis Hatton will probably get it. If it was genuinely a monument to the all-time greats then Hatton shouldn't even be considered, but when the likes of Sly Stallone get inducted it's hard to argue against it.

TBH if you wanted to pick childish fights about Witter-Hatton then you should have been posting on here 5 years ago when it was actually still relevant.
