If Witter and Hatton had fought, imo Witter wins a clear decision(he'd probably get robbed in manchester) If he had fought Floyd, do you think he'd have done better than Hatton did? It's hard to see him doing any worse really, I mean Hatton was the only person floyd ko'd in about 10 years, and Witter is smart enough not to offer his chin repeatedly to Floyd. I think Floyd wins a wide decision, but Witter makes it to the end unhurt.
It'd be a completely different fight to Mayweather-Hatton for starters. I doubt Floyd would stop Witter but Junior wouldn't win much more than a round or two either. Plus it would probably be a terrible fight to watch. Hatton at least made it entertaining with his aggressive style. As for Hatton-Witter. Could've gone either way for me. I fancy Ricky to win if pushed but wouldn't be too surprised if Witter was able to outbox him.
Floyd didn't know who Witter was. Nevertheless, Witter would be systematically taken apart for every second of the fight. Witters boxing is too sloppy for him to even be in the fight.
Despite Witters caginess, precision when he actually got going, and the fact he would cause Floyd some problems with his switching stance, Floyd would be too fluid and fast, and would catch Witter when Witter tries to throw his own shots, with chopping precise right hands, and would of course break Wotter down from the offset with his laser-like jab to the midsection. As the rounds go on and Floyd picks it up, I think he'd really dominate centre ring, as Witter won't chase him and force Floyd to back up as some try. Floyd will start letting a few combinations go, and I think after being thoroughly outclassed Junipr gets pulled out late. I like Witter, and maintain he'd have stopped Ricky if they'd fought when they should've, but he has little stylistic advantage herebabdbis up against a far better operator who has outstanding handspeed, a good defence and chin, and who will only grow in confidence as the fight progresses, giving Witter little chance to seize the fight-changing punches that he could time so well. Well, I believe that Witter would have done a better job of surviving against Mayweather than Hatton........maybe, judging by the uber-negative Judah performance.
I can't see Witter decisioning Hatton as the OP suggests. He's never had the workrate and Hatton would have to keep coming forward even if Witter was slaughtering him on the way in. If Witter wins then he stops Hatton.

I think a lot of the way Witter is bigged up is down to people wanting him to have been able to beat Hatton. If you look at his record it has a damn sight most questions on it than Hattons does, yet its Hattons that gets pulled apart. If I was the type of negative person who pulls apart records I could rip Witters to bits in 30 seconds flat.
