For me Froch is less skilled than many of the elite..but has this fight in him like a dog that wont let go...he keeps coming n coming. So what he lacks in skill he makes up for to some degree in his tenacity. He showed vs Abraham that he does possess some boxing skills n a decent jab, but his defensive skills to my eyes look not so great. A bit of a fighter that sometimes is prepared to exchange a few shots to get his own in. Good fighter, defo world class..but Ward seems to be his biggest test so lets see if his determined will and relentlessness can overcome the more skilled Ward.

Great heart and tenacity but will never be a P4P fighter due to his lack of skills and defense.Ward will easily win a UD.

I think it is like this:

Top 3 is close, but due to their H2H meetings, I rank them like this:

    1. Ward
    2. Kessler
    3. Froch

Then there is a gap to the next:

Both have looked great on tape, but do not really have any A-levels wins on their resumes. Dirrell is closest with the Froch fight, so very close. But Bute has a deeper resume so I ended up like this:

    4. Bute
    5. Dirrell

    The rest:

    6. Stieglitz
    7. Bika
    8. Johnson
    9. Andrade
    10. Pavlik
    11. Sartison
    12. Balzay
    13. Ooisterhuisen
    14. Allen Green
    15. Markussen

Froch's greatest assets arent physical. His mental state in and out of the ring puts him above the competition.
The only reason he beat JT was because he was shockingly relaxed. After getting knocked down, he didnt become ruthless and crude, he took his time (lost rounds in the process) and managed to hurt Taylor and scored a great TKO, many fighters upon hurting their opponent throw wide and ridiculous shots, by Froch kept cool and finished him off in a clinical manner
Against Abraham, Froch came into the ring with literally no fear against a man that has sent two fighters out of the tournament. Froch dominated using his ability, but his mental strength in that fight outweighed Abraham's who acted like a child.

I dont rate his skill too highly, he is awkward which makes it difficult for anyone, but Froch does not possess the in-ring abilities of some other top fighters. Froch does possess heavy hands, but no KO power as some may suggest. His jab is good but the way he uses it at times is inconsistent. His combinations is good also but he can use them more often, especially considering he is in excellent condition and has plenty of stamina

He looks so uncoordinated. Mind you he is strong physically and mentally.

His weakness is boxers. Watch for Ward to hit and move for 12 rounds making the Cobra look second rate. I'd love Carl to land something big on that China chinned head butting machine. Son of God, what is that? But he probably won't.

Froch has to use his reach.

    And

He needs to be prepared for a Ward that will use angles to rush in with a punch or two and then hold. The ref breaks them up and then he will rush in with a punch or two and hold. The ref wil.... rewind and repeat!

If Froch finds a cure for this rush and hold ... watch for Ward to pull out the low blows, the head butts, the rabbit punches, or some other stuff like that.

Guys with good chins who have good stamina, who are consistent, are always gonna spell trouble, as they aint going no where, and will keep asking questions of you, and if they have solid power, albeit not spectacular, they can break you down systematically, which is what Froch and Vitali have in their arsenal, when push comes to shove and their Boxing skills aren't getting the job done, and they need to throw down.

Alexis Arguello was a consistent fighter to.

He is an A fighter without a doubt.

Give RJJ average speed and how good would he be?

Give Tyson average power and how good would he be?

Give Calzaghe average stamina and how good would he be?

Give Froch average reach and how good would he be?

Froch has exceptional reach while still having control and power in those long arms... that is very very rare. And he certainly is a top class fighter.

umm an actual fair look at Froch.. No Arguments from me here against or for..

I agree with this.. Same goes for Ward..

Starting to lose me here Bailey.. Boone was a stiff Ward thought he could just go in and be reckless.. Not the the case.. He got hit with an uppercut he didn't see.. **** happens and.. Ward won the fight... \

Many observers could point out that Carl Froch coul be hit with a number of shots and put on his ass against Taylor but folks don't often bring that up...:?

Some of you all have to much time on your hands... But You might have a point...:think

    This is spot on..:deal
