You really could start a fight in an empty room, couldn’t you?

I don’t start fights but I am really good at ending them.

Certainly that calibre of fighter which is why Azumah Nelson is respected by all.

Azumah Nelson was an exceptional talent.
He had quite a few great wins against
some very good/ great fighters like
Wilfredo Gomez, Juan Laporte, Marcos Villasana,
Mario Martinez, Calvin Grove, Jesse Leija, and
    of course Jeff Fenech.
If he fought an opponent more than once
he usually would dominate the second fight.
    Meaning he adjusted well.
Like Joe Louis or Marvin Hagler.
Probably the best boxer to come out of
    Africa.

Azumah was a strong fighter and a good puncher. I would have liked to have seen him and Barry McGuigan fight.
Today, people will say McGuigan was afraid of him but I never thought that. Barry had that incident out in the Las Vegas desert where he lost the title, had that big fiasco with his manager, then his father died. That all happened right as the build up to that fight was happening. It would have been interesting but I think Nelson's power may have been too much, and Barry would have been right in front of him.

I know Nelson would have destroyed McGuigan in spectacular fashion and he fought and beat better fighters than McGuigan. I don’t like to say a fighter is afraid but clearly someone was afraid be it McGuigan or his management or both. I personally never bought the Vegas stuff as to my eyes Stevie Cruz beat him fair and square.

I am a Nelson fan. He clearly lost the first fight to Fenech-putrid decision.

What 8 rounds was Canelo even close to winning?

    I g
I gave Canelo rinds 1-4 due to his superior boxing ability Then the steam train lil g came on strong winning the middle portion of the fight due to his relentless pressure. Canelo caught his 2nd wind and won rounds 10-12 clearly. To me it was a 7-5/8-4 type of fight in Canelo’s favour. Pressure on its own does not win fights. Skills win fights.
