His 12th Fight. Beats a top 5 P4P fighter. Doesn't only beat him he SCHOOLS him. Wins at least 8 rounds. From a historical point of view just how high will this win be rated?
Well, like you say, he just beat someone who.... - had a strong claim to a top 3 P4P spot - is in his absolute prime - was coming fresh off a FOTY year - is an extremely talented operator with elite power and skill ...and did so emphatically, whilst showing sublime amounts of skill and intelligence himself. The only stain was the knockdown, and even that was almost a flash one. So yeah, it's quite possibly the best win of the new decade so far -- competing head on with JMM's knockout of Pac -- and it will remain that way unless someone comes along and beats Mayweather or Ward (which I don't see happening).

Maybe along the lines of Pacquiao-Barrera I. Pacquiao was more or less a still unproven quantity in American boxing, he had solid wins on US shore against the likes of Ledwaba, Julio and Lucero but suffered knockdowns against Yeshmagambetov and Nedal Hussein in wins at 122. But he was already a two-time beltholder at the time, and while he was a clear underdog against Marco his scalp was nonetheless considered a potentially significant addition to the Mexican's war trophies.
Agreed Unc. I was surprised as to not only how convincingly he won, but as to how quickly it became evident that he was the better fighter on the night. Excellent gameplan, executed perfectly. A very impressive win.
It's funny, he kept his gameplan up all night then after the clinch he was completely squared up and threw the most terrible right hand and missed then get clocked, i dunno wtf he was doing lol but apart from that it was a flawless performance

It was his "White whale" performance... I hope they dont keep him out of action for too long coming off this win. (Pay the man & keep feeding him) A win like this can ruin a fighter. Tho Rigo seems to be all business & fighting seems to be "no thang".
I say yes, because Barrera didn't have the aura of invincibility going into that fight that Donaire had going into this fight.
