...unifying their titles after Macklin sparks Sturm and Barker sparks Martinez.

2 big upsets are needed but just imagine.

Actually I don't know if Barker will be fighting for anything tangiable. He would get lineage by beating Martinez.

And even if it did what belts would be at stake in a Barker vs Macklin fight? I don't even know anymore.

If u listen to what Barker said the fight hasnt been signed. Verbal agreements mean nothing. I bet he doesnt fight Martinez.

Or, Martinez vs Sturm, which is not only an abundantly better fight, it's slightly more plausible too.

As above, i'd prefer sturm v martinez and barker v macklin (winner fights sturm v martinez winner, martinez in other words). Other than that the middleweight is pretty stale at the mo, Im looking forward to abraham coming back down to be fair, was a monster at middle...

Both men will lose. Sturm is an excellent fighter even without much depth to his resume. He'll stop Macklin late, possibly on cuts.

Barker will get flattened by Martinez. He's a straight-forward boxer, but I can't see him holding a shot too well or having any real successes other than when Sergio tires.
