I have heard some people say that Kessler was only offered 750.000 dollars+ Danish PPV. Some say that he would have gotten 3 mills+ danish PPV.. While we are at it.. How much would Bute get? X Number of money+ canadian PPV and Romanian PPV?
We know nothing about what Bute would have received. Sweet nothing. As for Kessler, the numbers come from an anonymus source. 750K + an amount from Showtime (we don't know how much) + Danish PPV. Interbox made a second offer after Pavlik dropped out but we don't know anything on it. The Stieglitz fight was anyway close to be made. All come from that anonymus source. Interbox said nothing, Sauerland neither. Kessler is saying it's worth a Danish krone but didn't say how much it was (did Sauerland actually told him?). Bottom line: nothing is sure.
There's no way he would have gotten 3.000.000 dollars for the fight. It's commonly known that Bute's people have lowballed a number of fighters in the recent months. Pavlik, Johnson and Kessler turned him down because of that. I don't know how much Bute gets, but everytime he fights in montreal they're sold out...
