To be honest, if he doesnt think he's ready then he has no place holding a world title.

If he didn't accept the fight they would have stripped him. Probably means the promoters couldn't agree terms so they put it out to bids.

He should take the fight,he will lose a lot of respect if he does not.Maidana deserves the chance and Amir should give him it.Amir has the skills to win it and as long as he does nothing stupid it should be a good night for him.Maidana can punch but he can also be hurt and put over,he will need to be as careful as Khan not to leave himself open to big shots.

It's amazing how hyped Maidana has become by beating Ortiz. Ridiculous. The guy has some ability, but he wasn't exactly a destroyer. He was getting tagged pretty easily, but Ortiz fought and incredibly stupid fight that saw him eat just as much in return. Maidana's a big, tough, hard-punching brawler. He's got sloppy footwork and rough technique. Khan has an excellent chance of beating him, especially since he seems more confident in his punching now.

Also, it's gone to purse bids because Maidana's promoter wants it in the US, and Warren wants it in the UK.

So does that mean the purse bid will decide where the location will be?
