I don't see what was poor about his performance. Hatton fought the same way he always did, probably winning 3 rounds. Mayweather was just the best fighter he ever took on and as you said an ATG.

By the way heres your absolute idol getting knocked down by a lesser boxer then Floyd, and a 43 year old grandpa. It happens in boxing sometimes; such is boxing.

Calzaghe got up again and won, and he is a much better fighter than Hatton.

Ricky said on his documentary that he is pissed off that people keep saying he got battered against Mayweather. From what i saw he was ineffective throughout the fight and took quite a bit of punishment in the last 3 rounds.

 

43 year old popkins is not a prime Floyd Mayweather.

Fair play to Witter, pretty honest stuff there. I personally think he should consider retirement given his age, however, I can understand why he wouldn't want to go out on a loss.

I see no reason Junior can't get back in the mix, people went over the top about him before the fight and they are doing the same in reverse now

Maybe he DID just have an off night, I'm up and down like a yoyo when I play sports, Witter has shown signs of this in the past

His main obstacle will be getting another chance though

He ought to get busy, get a win or two and he'll be up the rankings with someone in no time, it's hardly a deep division and Hatton will likely be gone by the end of the year
