MAB is past it and dont forget, though some people made weight jumping look easy, it isn't that easy of a feat. MAB would become the first mexican to win the 4th title in the 4th division should he win a title at LW, thats how difficult the task is. On top of that, Khan is naturally a JWW. MAB is the naturally smaller man.

That said I still think MAB KO's him and if Khan pulls it off, I will give him credit, based on the fact that he beat MAB alone past it or not. It wont make Khan an elite but definitely a contender and one to watch out for possibly entering the elite ranks.

Like I said, Barrera is about TEN YEARS past his prime. How much credit do you really think Khan deserves if he takes him out or decisions him? I didn't say he deserves NO credit at all, but we have to temper our enthusiasm, given the circumstances.

ten years is an exaggeration. just 6 to 7 years ago, he belongs to the top 3 best boxers in the world. he may have been past his physical peak at that time but he was still prime leading up to the fight with pac.

he indeed is well past his prime now but still a lot of people have picked him based on what we saw of amir khan so far. i myself picked MAB so i would give credit to khan if pulls this off, of course not that much since khan also holds some advantages like size, age and speed. MAB edge in experience, wit, skills and chin need not be overlooked in this fight.

About a decade?? He looked damn good when he stopped the previously unstopped Paulie Ayala as well as when he beat Morales in their 3rd match.

He was definitely at his prime against Pac back in 2003, when he was concensus within P4P #3 (some even had him as #1 at that time).
