atsch you dont need a PW-esque punch output when you consistently land over 50% of your punches while at the same time reducing your opponent to landing around 20%
1. That's what I figured. 2. Which boxing performance was better from this generation? It was an absolutely comprehensive performance on Mayweather's part.
So facing no adversity and just pot shotting a guy following you around the ring makes the best performance in a boxing era? Woo ****ing hoo. You guys have a blast watching those exhibitions. Why not just go watch him punch a speed bag for 36 minutes? Drive to his gym, give him 55$ and watch him jump rope.
You didn't even see the fight. It shows more and more and makes having a discussion with you on the matter pointless.
yeah... who is floyd mayweather again? Is he that rapper from philty rich records? or a wwe wrestler? I know I have seen him somewhere before.
if you can win throwing 20 punches than you must be one hell of a boxer. point is punch output isnt everything. floyd doesnt need to go in there throwing hundreds of punches a round to win a fight. you're point about his offensive output being low has no bearing on anything whatsoever.
Well, I don't consider a man who isn't in the ring to fight as an amazing boxer. I think floyd is extremely talented, his defense is the best I have ever witnessed. I however think he lacks a meaningful fight to define him. His corrales win was good, but there were weight issues and mental problems with diego corrales. I think floyd's best performance was actually his 2nd castillo fight.
so i guess he's just in there baking cookies and not throwing/evading punches (fighting). I guess we just disagree on what makes a fighter an amazing boxer. I thought boxing was the art of hitting without getting hit, something floyd excels at but what do I know. However, i do agree with the majority of the second part of your post. I think floyd is a tremendous boxer with all the gifts you could ask for as a fighter except when it comes to heart. If he really gave a **** about his legacy and his fans (which i'm not so sure he does) he would take on the best available opponent at all times. This is why i really wish he takes on PW or waits for the mosley/berto winner....but this doesnt seem too likely.
\ His punch output against Chico wasn't embarrasing. I can tell you just started watching PBF when he got to 147 you haven't even seen PBF-Chico or any of his fights at 130.:rofl
