    90% of the boxing world knows less than **** about how to score a fight..

    Clean Punching
    Effective Aggression
    Ring Generalship
    Defense

    These are the four criteria used for scoring a fight. Bumlovkin did a lot of punching but most of them were blocked or he outright missed. Bumlovkin was coming forward for good portions of the fight but his aggression was NOT effective seeing as he wasn't landing CLEAN punches. Alvarez dictated the terms of the fight for most of the night, hence he was the RING GENERAL. And lets not even start talking about Bumlovkin's defense which was essentially non existent..

    I bet that you think that this is "smart", too. How embarrassing.

    Imagine if Golovkin had taken on 52 year old Hopkins and beaten him into a coma. To me that wouldn't be smart, that would be a young lion picking on grandpa. Why do I get the feeling that you'd be the boxer to punch the other guy in the nuts if you thought the ref wasn't looking?

    He had his opportunity but instead chose to DUCK a senior citizen in favor of fighting some stumblebum. It was probably smart on the part of Team Triple Duck to swerve the Ole' Man seeing as Hopkins would have ended the Bumlovkin hype..

    If Klitschko had blasted out 45 year old Holyfield I'd have given him zero credit. I guess some folks think that he was 'ducking' him too.

    Because 4 rounds difference is actually 2 rounds difference. If Canelo wins 2 of those rounds.. It's a draw. SMH

    you don't win rounds by taking punches. If we want to score it that way, Tex Cobb was robbed in his fight with HOlmes.

    17 pages about how one can't in any way give the 4th round to Golovkin, this is so funny, but not because one can or can't give the 4th round to golovkin but because the 4th round was one of the two rounds Adelaide Byrd gave to Golovkin :))))))))))

    That's not to say that GGGift wasn't competitive in other rounds but he definitely only won 2 (imo of course).

    I'll be sure to take another look at round 8. In most of the rounds I thought Canelo was landing the better harder punches. This is because G is easier to hit than Canelo. I'd also like for some G fans to take a look at this round and respond to your comment. Thank you Lincoln Haines, these are the kind of comments I like to read and why I created this thread. Thinking for ourselves is so important. This is so much more objective and meaningful than the confirmation bias involved with just listing all the people who thought G won. It's not a popularity contest, it's about observing the objective reality.
