    Wow. I didn't think there was anyone that felt that was a good win for Byrd.

    Fact is that Vitali could've finished that fight with one arm, potshotting to the win. The victory for Vitali wouldve been nice, but if Byrd wouldve kept hitting that shoulder, like he was after he realized it, Vitali might have been permanently injured.

    So, he quit.
    I don't discredit Byrd for that. He took the W. And he was a top 50 AT himself. But all Byrd got out of that particular fight was a W and a schooling. On how to take a punch, and how to make wise career choices.
    Byrd's choices haven't been to great himself. Perhaps he shouldve learned from Vitali as to when to hang em up.

    :lol::lol::lol::patsch:patsch:patsch

    So Vitali should be given credit for acting like a coward, while evander holyfield fought with the exact same injury against chris byrd and FINISHED the fight?

    Yeah but Vitali didn’t know the scores when he decided to quit. He tought he was behind on points

    Vitali easily could have held byrd off for 2 more rounds and won the fight. People who deny this are living on fantasy island.

    I've seen this subject discussed a million times, and it's always when someone asks this rather poignant question that the Klit fans shut up :lol:

    By beating far cruiserweights and Sosnowski :rofl:rofl:rofl

    Next in line for big brave VITLAY is Briggs by all accounts...and they wonder why HBO dropped them :patsch

    He quit against Byrd because he's a playground bully, it's that simple. Byrd was walking him down in the last few rounds, VITLAY didn't like being made to look stupid and quit like a wuss.

    We don't have medical records to say "he said, she said". Clearly there was something wrong and perhaps Vitali made a wise choice.

    Oh stfu about someone living in a dream Land. When it comes to the Klitschkos you are as believable as Charlie Manson as a Sunday School Teacher.

    Could you tell that joke about Jack Dempsey beating Klitschkos?:huh:lol:

    No, he shouldn't be given credit, he just shouldn't be called a coward. It was a smart move, Vitali's greatest weakness are injuries and he knew it. Calling a professional boxer a coward, one who boxes now without needing the money or a purpose in life, like Vitali, is a lack of class.

    Holyfield is obviously willing to risk his health beyond a level I would call brave. Someone who is a speech - slurring, punch drunk fighter in his mid - fourties who keeps dreaming about being undisputed champ is not exactly a role model for good decision making.
