I feel Kirkland will be back in the ring soon. Kinda skeptical about him Making 154 though. I gotta see it. Hopefully he can be back in the ring in 4 months and fight atleast 2 warm up matches before jumping back into the mix next fall. On another note, I wouldn't mind a K9 vs Angulo Match up.
I haven't seen k-9 fight so I can't really say anything, but if I was to really make a choice I would say yes because there is a belt in line.
Man i wanted to see Mayorga get a late career win against K-9 in an entertaining matchup between these two. But ya a Kirkland/K-9 fight would be good too.
Might actually hurt James to win an easy strap. He might then consequently be rushed into taking fights that he's not ready for and would have otherwise not taken.
K-9 has nothing to lose, he might have one last good performance, but Kirkland is a beast and he would neuter k-9. But I wouldn't underestimate k-9.

Ok I've come up with the plan Kirkland vs a durable come back opponent (durable so he can go some good rounds) but one thats not too dangerous. A durable soft touch. Mayorga vs K-9 Then, Kirkland vs the winner of Mayorga vs K-9 Then, the winner of that vs Angulo. Thats what i want.... Or id just like Mayorga to beat K-9 then retire.
K-9 has a big bullseye on his chest..... probably the weakest title holder in the sport and probably the weakest since Carlos Maussa. Even a rusty Kirkland fresh outta the can would beat the brakes off of him.
