As champion Byrd is entitled to 67% of the total purse. So if the pot was 5.5 million Wlad had no option but to pay Byrd 4 million.

    Don't be absurd.

Because they're realistic and also why take a couple of hundred thousand to fight for the title when you can make close to that fighting top 20 guys?

The champ MOST of the time earns the money, still doesn't excuse a lowball offer.

These guys aren't asking for 50/50 though are they?

It's really simple, a fighter isn't going to sign a slave contract for little money putting their health on the line.
With Povetkin there's a case that he pulled out because they thought he wasn't ready, or Atlas wasn't happy with Povetkins cut from Sauerland, what about the rest?

It'll take Fury 1-2 years to position himself.

And yet worthy of K2 approaching him for a title shot.

I have no ****ing idea what you're saying here Mad.

Povetkin wasn't about the money, mute point.

No Adamek won't be removed the quote is from Oct 2010, long before they finally fought, same with Mormeck.

Fury did say he wasn't ready, still doesn't discount the terms offered when approached does it?

Yeah you're right, over a dozen fighters are bitching over nothing and just want to avoid K2.
